## The verdict up front

Anchor is a serious, enterprise-priced response platform for teams whose RFPs are long and formatted by someone who hates you. Its pitch is a knowledge base you never tag by hand, plus cited drafts on every answer. Seats are unlimited, so the engineers you need can actually log in.

The catch is the price tag. The only public number is an Enterprise Plan on AWS Marketplace at $125,000 for a 12-month contract. That makes Anchor a shortlist candidate for enterprise presales and security teams with real volume. It is a hard pass for anyone who answers a dozen RFPs a year.

Everything below comes from reading Anchor’s own site, including its security page and four published case studies, alongside its AWS Marketplace listing and Capterra profile as of October 2026\. Nobody here has run a live project in it, so treat the checklist at the end as the real evaluation plan.

## First, which Anchor?

Worth clearing up before you read anything else about this company. Anchor at getanchor.ai is operated by Anchor AI Ltd., which its terms of use place at Kibbutz Ga’ash, Israel. The co-founders on its About page are Ido Sever (CEO) and Itai Braude (Chief Product and Technology Officer).

There is a different Israeli startup called Anchor Browser that builds cloud browsers for AI agents. Anchor Browser announced a $6M seed round in October 2025, led by Blumberg Capital with Gradient participating, and its founders are different people. Some company databases fold the two together. If a deck or a data aggregator tells you the RFP Anchor raised that round, ask for the source, because the announcement belongs to the browser company. Anchor’s own site does not publish a funding figure.

## What it actually does

Anchor splits the product into four modules: response automation, knowledge management, document intelligence and collaboration. In plain terms, you load your content once and Anchor reads each incoming RFP or questionnaire. It drafts answers with citations, and your team reviews them in a shared workspace.

The document side is the part that stands out on paper. The AWS listing says Anchor ingests Excel matrices with nested dropdowns and horizontal tables. It also handles PDFs with requirements scattered across sections, and government-style tenders with inconsistent formatting, then normalizes everything into one structured workspace. Anyone who has spent a Sunday copying a 600-row vendor matrix into a tool will know why that sentence matters.

Before drafting starts, Anchor summarizes the RFP and flags risks or showstoppers. It also pulls out budgets and timelines to help with the go/no-go call. That is closer to bid qualification than most answer-library tools bother with.

For security teams there is a Chrome extension that fills questionnaires inside vendor portals. The InfoSec page says approved answers appear with mapped fields and citations in one click. Coralogix’s case study credits it with automating its vendor-portal flows.

## How drafting and the knowledge base work

The knowledge base is the core idea. Anchor says it parses and categorizes each document automatically, with no manual tagging or Q&A upkeep. It also claims to detect contradictions between sources and flag missing knowledge so someone can fill the gap.

You can segment content by region or product, and toggle individual sources on or off to control what the AI draws from. Answers can be reused across languages, which BioCatch’s case study highlights for its global teams. Approved knowledge is also reachable from Slack and Microsoft Teams, so a rep can ask a question without opening a project.

On drafting, Anchor claims it autofills up to 95% of questions accurately. That is the vendor’s own figure, so read it as a target to verify rather than a promise. The more useful detail is how drafts are grounded. The response automation page says every AI answer comes with citations and source links, and the InfoSec page adds that each answer shows its source and review date. Drafts can also pull from CRM data and case studies, so the answer speaks to the deal rather than reading like boilerplate.

The case studies are where the claims get specific. Papaya Global says it replaced a legacy RFP platform and onboarded more than 70 users within a few weeks. Bruker Nano Surfaces describes RFPs of 400 to 500 technical questions and credits Anchor with a 60% cut in response effort. BioCatch says Anchor replaced a platform it had implemented only three months earlier. All of these are vendor-published, so they show what Anchor is good at selling, not independent proof.

## Security and compliance posture

Anchor states it holds SOC 2 Type II. Its security page lists annual SOC 2 Type II audits plus regular third-party penetration testing. It also calls itself compliant with GDPR and CCPA. No ISO 27001 certificate is listed.

Hosting is on AWS. The security FAQ says customer data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and stored in isolated environments. Customer data is never used to train or fine-tune models, and model calls go through zero-retention endpoints. Access control covers SSO and MFA with granular roles at workspace and project level, and all actions are logged.

Two things to note for your own vendor review. First, Anchor offers single-tenant deployments for teams with stricter isolation needs, which is a real option for regulated buyers. Second, it does not publish hosting regions or a subprocessor list; the FAQ says region details are available on request. If EU residency is a requirement, get it in writing before procurement starts, not after.

## Pricing and how to buy it

There is no pricing page on getanchor.ai. Every call to action is a demo booking.

The one public figure sits on AWS Marketplace: an Enterprise Plan at $125,000.00 for a 12-month contract. The listing says the package is sized on an average of 150 questions per opportunity, and that Enterprise plans are custom. It also warns that additional integrations or customizations may cost extra. Seats are unlimited, so you pay for volume rather than headcount. The vendor refund policy on the listing reads “No refunds.”

Capterra shows a starting price for the same product that reads as $150,000 per user per month. That is almost certainly a data-entry quirk on the profile rather than a real rate. Ignore it and anchor (sorry) your budget conversation on the AWS figure.

Buying through AWS Marketplace means the contract bills through your AWS account, which some finance teams prefer. At this price, that procurement detail is worth raising early.

## Where it falls short

The price floor is the big one. A $125,000 annual contract puts Anchor out of reach for small teams. The 150-questions-per-opportunity sizing also means you should model your real volume before you trust any quote.

Extras can stack up. The AWS listing says integrations or customizations beyond the standard scope may add cost, so connectors you assume are included might not be.

Residency is opaque. AWS hosting is stated but regions are not. There is also no published subprocessor list to hand your security team.

Independent reviews are thin. The Capterra profile showed no user reviews when we read it, and the case studies on Anchor’s site are its own. You will be leaning on customer references more than on review sites.

## Who should shortlist it, and who should skip it

Shortlist Anchor if you are an enterprise B2B vendor answering long technical RFPs with a mixed crew of presales engineers and security staff. The unlimited seats suit that crew, and the document intake is aimed squarely at nasty Excel and PDF formats. It also fits teams replacing a legacy answer library that has rotted, which is the story most of its case studies tell.

Skip it if you answer a handful of RFPs a year or need a published price list you can sign up against today. Skip it too if your security policy requires a named EU region on day one and you cannot wait for a sales cycle to confirm one.

## How it sits next to the peers

[Loopio](/loopio) is the mature library-first choice. Its tagging and versioning are battle-tested, and big teams lean on its review cycles daily. Anchor’s bet is the opposite: no tagging at all, with the AI keeping the library tidy. Loopio wins on track record and a broad integration catalog. Anchor wins on seat model, since Loopio’s entry Foundations plan includes 10 seats.

[Responsive](/responsive) covers a wider workflow, from intake through submission, with named enterprise customers and a deep integration catalog. It is the safer pick if you need one platform for every response type across a large org. Anchor looks sharper on document intake and qualification, and it does not add user licences on top of the platform fee the way Responsive does.

[Inventive AI](/inventive-ai) is the closest like-for-like. It is also AI-native with unlimited users, and it puts a citation and confidence score on every answer. The difference is the entry ticket: Inventive’s plans start at $10,000 a year plus usage fees per RFP, while Anchor’s only public price is $125,000\. If your volume is moderate, Inventive is easier to justify. If your RFPs are enormous and your formats are ugly, Anchor’s intake pitch is the reason to compare them side by side.

[AutoRFP.ai](/autorfp-ai) is the accuracy-first tool for writing winning responses in a workflow that is easy to run. It offers unlimited users on published pricing from $899 a month, traces each line to its source, and has a browser extension for portals. It is the fit for teams that want to start without a long sales cycle. Anchor goes further into bid qualification and RFP summaries before drafting begins.

## What to test in a demo

Bring your own documents. A vendor sample proves nothing. Here is the checklist we would run:

- **Your worst Excel matrix.** Pick the one with merged cells and nested dropdowns. Check that Anchor maps every requirement and writes answers back into the right cells.
- **A 300-plus question RFP.** Time the first draft, then count how many answers a reviewer accepts with only light edits. Compare that number to the 95% autofill claim.
- **Citations under pressure.** Open ten random answers and click through to the cited source. Confirm the source actually says what the answer says, and check that review dates are visible.
- **Contradiction handling.** Load two policy documents that disagree on a retention period. See whether Anchor flags the conflict or quietly picks one.
- **The Chrome extension.** Run it against a real vendor portal your team uses, not a demo portal.
- **Export.** Ask for the finished response in your branded Word template, then check how much formatting cleanup is left.
- **Residency and subprocessors.** Get the hosting region and the full subprocessor list in writing, including which model providers handle your data.
- **Contract math.** Ask how the 150-questions-per-opportunity sizing scales at your volume. Then ask which integrations are included in the base package.

If Anchor clears that list on your own documents, the price starts to look like a staffing decision rather than a software line item. If it stumbles on your matrix, no amount of unlimited seats will fix it.

## Who should pick Anchor, and who should skip it

**Pick it if** you fit this profile: enterprise B2B teams where solutions engineers and security staff share the RFP and questionnaire load across messy Excel and PDF formats. Where it earns its place: Unlimited seats: its collaboration page and AWS listing both say there are no per-user charges, so SMEs can join without a licence fight.

**Look elsewhere if** this limitation is a deal-breaker: The only public price is a $125,000 Enterprise Plan for a 12-month contract on AWS Marketplace, sized on about 150 questions per opportunity. Also look around if self-serve onboarding is central to how you work (1/3 here). In that case, one of the [Anchor alternatives](/alternatives/anchor-ai) may fit better.

## Bottom line

Best use case in one line: Enterprise sales and presales teams answering long, technical RFPs who want every teammate in the tool without seat fees.
