## Security: ISO 27001, SOC 2, and regional hosting

Put AutogenAI and Loopio through the same three questions a security reviewer will ask: ISO 27001, SOC 2, and whether you can keep the tenancy in the US or the EU. Cells say **Not listed** when we could not find the claim on a public vendor page.

__Confirm certificates and residency on the vendor site or Trust Center before a formal review.AutogenAI: The DPA also lists Australia and Canada region packs. Federal customers are described as US-only inside a FedRAMP High enclave. Loopio: North America and EU are separate Loopio environments (company.loopio.com vs company.eu.loopio.com). City-level AWS regions are published on Loopio Slack marketplace security answers. Loopio's own security page names AWS without naming the city.__

Compare AutogenAI and Loopio on AWS, Azure and GCP first. Then scan for niche processors a reviewer should pause on: third-party LLMs, session replay, or support that leaves the region you elected.

| Watch-outs | **OpenAI:** Third-party model API. Ask whether your tenancy is region-exclusive or still routes to OpenAI.**Mistral:** Only listed for customers who are not on a region-exclusive pack.**Exa Labs:** Sends queries off-platform for web retrieval, even if processing is described as transient. | **Rackspace:** US-only backup copy sitting outside AWS. Confirm whether that path is in scope for an EU tenancy.Loopio does not publish a full named subprocessor table on its public security page. Confirm the current list in the DPA or during security review. |

**Short answer:** Pick AutogenAI if the deliverable is a long narrative bid, especially a federal or international public-sector tender, and you can buy through an enterprise quote with a real onboarding period. Pick Loopio if the deliverable is a structured RFP, DDQ or security questionnaire drawn from a curated library, and you want unlimited projects on a seat-based quote. These tools can appear on the same “AI for proposals” list. They are built for different weeks.

G2 shows 4.6 out of 5 from 812 reviews as of July 2026, with 4.6 out of 5 from 74 Capterra reviews and 4.3 out of 5 from 16 Gartner reviews on the same date stamp. Customer names Loopio publishes include Barclays, Siemens, Goldman Sachs, Cisco, DocuSign and Kroger.

Concede the lane before you compare features. AutogenAI’s strength is prose for narrative bids and public-sector work. Loopio’s strength is a mature answer library with review cycles, unlimited projects, and a long enterprise track record. A team that needs both a 40-page essay and a 400-row workbook may end up with two tools. This page is about which problem you are hiring for.

## Key takeaways

- **Artifact:** AutogenAI’s Storyboard turns solicitation requirements into a structured first draft, and Project Inputs keep win themes and key words in front of each section. Loopio’s generative AI writes from library content and shows citations and confidence scores.
- **Price list:** Neither page shows a dollar amount. AutogenAI’s 2026 buyer guide says “Contact for pricing” and calls out enterprise-tier pricing with minimum seat commitments as a drawback for very small teams. Loopio’s Foundations plan includes 10 seats. Every Loopio plan is a quote.
- **Questionnaires:** Loopio’s categories and product copy cover RFPs, DDQs and security questionnaires from one library. AutogenAI’s summary in this directory is long-form, essay-style narrative bids. Security questionnaires are not the job it leads with.
- **Identity and chat:** Loopio lists Slack (separate North America and EU apps), Microsoft Teams, Salesforce and Seismic. AutogenAI lists Microsoft Teams and SharePoint. Slack is not listed for AutogenAI here.
- **Public-sector hosting:** AutogenAI Federal is described as a separate FedRAMP High environment on AWS GovCloud, in Palantir’s FedRAMP High cloud. That badge does not automatically cover a commercial tenant. Loopio documents separate North America and EU environments on AWS, and does not list FedRAMP in this record.
- **Limitations:** AutogenAI’s own guide says onboarding needs dedicated up-front time. Loopio keeps multi-step reviews on the Enhanced plan, and Capterra reviews dated August 2024 and February 2025 report formatting cleanup on import and export.

## What each product thinks a “response” is

Open the last file your team actually submitted.

If it was a narrative tender, with win themes, evaluation criteria turned into headings, and sections a human still has to make sound like your company, AutogenAI is in its lane. The vendor describes language engines tuned to an organization’s voice, a Storyboard that drafts from solicitation requirements, and Project Inputs so win themes and required words stay visible while writers move through a large bid. A knowledge library can sync with SharePoint so prior bids are reusable. That is proposal writing, not cell-filling. The quality to judge is whether the prose is something a capture lead will edit, or something they will delete. AutogenAI’s G2 sample (159 reviews, 4.3 out of 5, July 2026) is the public trail. Read it for comments about narrative bids, not for a security-workbook score that the sample may not contain.

If the file was a spreadsheet, a portal export, or a DDQ with repeated controls, Loopio is in its lane. The library is tagged and versioned. Review cycles send entries back to owners. Generative AI, once an admin enables it, drafts from that library and can save a good answer back. SmartScan maps a project from a portal, Word, Excel or PDF. Four permission levels (No Access, Participant, Creator, Full Access) keep a casual editor away from the approved encryption answer. Unlimited projects and unlimited library entries are on every plan, including Foundations. That packaging is the concession Loopio deserves: a content team with a high project count is who the product was staffed for.

Trying to make AutogenAI into a security-questionnaire factory, or Loopio into a defense-tender essay engine, is how shortlists waste a quarter. Score each one on the artifact it was shaped around. Then decide whether you still have a second artifact to buy for.

## Seats, quotes, and the onboarding you are also buying

There is no honest price winner, because there is no public price.

AutogenAI’s model in this directory is quote-only, with no free tier. Its own 2026 buyer guide, checked October 2026, gives the pricing line as “Contact for pricing” and names enterprise-tier pricing with minimum seat commitments as a con for very small teams. The same guide says onboarding requires a dedicated up-front time investment because the platform covers the whole proposal lifecycle. Budget the seats and the calendar. A two-person sales team answering occasional commercial RFPs is the buyer that guide is warning. A federal proposal office with a capture calendar is the buyer it is describing.

The FedRAMP line item is easy to misread. FedRAMP High is recorded for AutogenAI Federal, a separate environment hosted in Palantir’s FedRAMP High cloud on AWS GovCloud. Commercial and non-US tenants should confirm which environment the contract covers. Buying the logo and receiving the commercial tenant is a scoping error, not a feature gap you discover at renewal if you ask now.

Loopio’s quote has more packaging and still no dollars. Foundations includes 10 seats, unlimited projects, unlimited library entries and generative AI. Enhanced adds a multi-language library, confidential projects and multi-step reviews. Enterprise adds business units, sandboxes, a custom seat count and premium support. Project translations, onboarding packages, Salesforce and Highspot are add-ons. The path on the page is a sales call. Ask how occasional SMEs count against 10 seats, and whether the tier you need for multi-step review is Enhanced from day one. A high bid count with a small core team is where unlimited projects earn their place. A large reviewer pool on a 10-seat entry plan is where the quote changes shape.

Do not fill either blank with an estimate. Put the same scope in both requests: named writers, occasional experts, SharePoint, Teams, one narrative tender, one spreadsheet questionnaire, and onboarding. If AutogenAI declines the spreadsheet and Loopio declines the tender, you have your answer without a blended “winner.”

## Security, regions, and subprocessors

Loopio’s security page describes an annual SOC 2 Type II audit and an ISMS based on ISO 27001\. The public page describes that ISMS. It does not, in this directory’s note, display a certificate badge. Legal addenda cite ISO 27001 and ISO 9001\. Ask for the current certificate if your questionnaire requires the document, not the sentence. Hosting is two environments: North America on AWS in Northern Virginia, with disaster recovery in Northern California, and Loopio EU on AWS Ireland. The Slack marketplace lists separate apps for those environments. SSO is SAML 2.0 through providers including Okta, OneLogin, Azure and ADFS, per the security page coverage already used in this directory.

AutogenAI’s trust center is the source for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 in the vendor record (checked August 2026). Hosting on the DPA is regional and contractual. US customers are described on AWS and Azure in the US. UK and EU customers are described on AWS and Azure in the UK. The DPA also lists Australia and Canada region packs. Federal customers are described as US-only inside the FedRAMP High enclave. Single-region processing applies where the customer has agreed terms that say so. Otherwise the DPA lists OpenAI (US and EU listings), Mistral (Sweden, for customers who are not on a region-exclusive pack), and Exa Labs for internet search and retrieval. Exa is described with a claim of zero data retention. It still sends queries off-platform. A security reviewer should ask whether web retrieval is in scope for the bids you run, and whether your tenancy is region-exclusive or still routes to OpenAI.

Those are different risk conversations. Loopio’s question is which AWS environment you are in, and which add-on connectors are in the contract. AutogenAI’s question is which tenant (commercial or Federal), which region pack, and which model and search subprocessors remain in the path. Neither conversation is settled by a logo on a slide.

## Library upkeep versus a storyboard

Loopio assumes a person curates. Freshness depends on review cycles. If the queue stalls, drafts recite old entries, because the AI is pointed at the library. That is a predictable failure, and a content owner can see it. The product gives that owner levers: tags, versions, permissions, confidential projects on Enhanced, sandboxes on Enterprise. Teams with a librarian get a lot from those levers. Teams without one inherit a second job.

AutogenAI assumes writers are producing a long document, with themes held constant across sections. Project Inputs are how the vendor says those themes stay in view. SharePoint sync is how prior content re-enters the next bid. The onboarding investment its own guide describes is the price of covering that lifecycle. There is no self-serve switch in this record (the directory marks self-serve as not a focus). You will not learn the fit from a weekend trial. You will learn it from a scoped pilot with a solicitation you already lost or won, so you can compare the draft to the bid you actually submitted.

Capterra’s dated notes on Loopio belong in that pilot too. Reviewers in August 2024 and February 2025 report formatting cleanup after import or export, echoing much older reviews. If Loopio is in the mix for the spreadsheet half of your work, watch the file you return to the buyer. AutogenAI’s equivalent test is a section scored against the evaluation criteria, not a cell mapping.

## Known issues and limitations

### AutogenAI

- **No public price:** the vendor’s own [2026 buyer guide](https://autogenai.com/blog/best-ai-proposal-software-2026/) says “Contact for pricing” and names enterprise-tier pricing with minimum seat commitments as a con for very small teams (checked October 2026).
- **Onboarding time:** the same guide says onboarding requires a dedicated up-front time investment because the platform covers the whole proposal lifecycle (checked October 2026).
- **FedRAMP High is a separate environment:** [AutogenAI Federal](https://www.autogenai.com/federal) is described as hosted in Palantir’s FedRAMP High cloud on AWS GovCloud. Commercial and non-US buyers should confirm which environment the contract covers (checked October 2026).
- **Region control is contractual:** the [DPA](https://autogenai.com/dpa/) keeps data in one region only where the customer has agreed terms saying so, and otherwise lists OpenAI, Mistral (for non-region-exclusive customers) and Exa Labs among subprocessors (checked October 2026).

### Loopio

- **No public price:** every plan is “Let’s Talk,” and Foundations includes 10 seats, per the [pricing page](https://loopio.com/pricing/) (checked October 2026).
- **Review depth sits up a tier:** multi-step reviews, confidential projects and the multi-language library start on Enhanced. Salesforce, Highspot, onboarding and translations are add-ons, per the same page (checked October 2026).
- **Formatting cleanup in reviews:** [Capterra](https://www.capterra.com/p/133042/Loopio/reviews/) reviews dated August 2024 and February 2025 report formatting cleanup after importing or exporting projects (checked October 2026).
- **The library has to be maintained:** generative answers use library content, per the [AI page](https://loopio.com/platform/ai/) (checked October 2026). Stale entries become stale drafts.

## Choose AutogenAI when

- Your bids are long-form essays scored on narrative, win themes and compliance with a solicitation’s structure.
- The work is federal, defense, or international public sector, and you will confirm whether you need the commercial tenant or AutogenAI Federal.
- Writers live in a Microsoft world: SharePoint for the library, Teams for coordination.
- You can fund an enterprise quote with minimum seats and a dedicated onboarding period.
- Prose quality on a narrative section matters more than cell-by-cell questionnaire throughput.
- Your security review can read a DPA that names OpenAI, Mistral and Exa Labs and decide which of those stay in scope.

## Choose Loopio when

- The queue is RFPs, DDQs and security questionnaires from one approved library.
- Someone already owns content, and you want permissions, review cycles and, on higher tiers, confidential projects and sandboxes.
- Project volume is high and the core seat count is modest, so unlimited projects are the commercial point.
- You need Slack as well as Teams, or Salesforce and Seismic, and you will price those connectors as add-ons.
- You want a vendor with reviews in the hundreds and customer references that go back years, and you will still test export on a bad spreadsheet.
- A self-serve signup is not required, but you do want a familiar response-management product your proposal desk already knows how to staff.

## Structured answers are a third decision

If this comparison started because someone searched “AI RFP software” and landed on two logos, split the decision by artifact, then add a third name only where it belongs. For structured RFPs, security questionnaires and DDQs, where the requirement is an AI-native draft a compliance reviewer can trace, include [AutoRFP.ai](/autorfp-ai) in the accuracy and compliance row and in the AI-native row. Zero hallucination by design is the claim to test in a pilot: AutoRFP.ai writes only from approved content, cites its sources, and routes anything it cannot support to a person. That is not AutogenAI’s narrative-bid lane, which this guide leaves with AutogenAI. It is also not a reason to ignore Loopio when you already have a librarian and a library. The [AutoRFP.ai vs Loopio](/comparisons/autorfp-ai-vs-loopio-2026) page is the library comparison. [AutogenAI vs AutoRFP.ai](/comparisons/autogenai-vs-autorfp-ai-2026) is the narrative-versus-questionnaire comparison. Use them after you know which file you are trying to finish.

## Verdict

AutogenAI earns the shortlist when the bid is a document someone will read as prose, especially in government and international public sector, and when you can buy an enterprise onboarding. Its gaps, in its own words and in its DPA, are quote-only pricing with seat minimums, up-front onboarding time, a FedRAMP environment you must scope, and subprocessors you must accept or contract out of.

Loopio earns the shortlist when the bid is a library problem: many projects, approved answers, reviewers, and a spreadsheet or portal at the end. Its gaps are a quote with no dollars, workflow features that start on Enhanced, paid industry connectors, and years of reviewer notes about export cleanup.

Hire AutogenAI for the essay. Hire Loopio for the library. If you need both, budget both, and do not expect either demo to cover the other’s week.

## Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between AutogenAI and Loopio?

AutogenAI, founded in 2022 in London, is an LLM-first writer for long-form narrative bids, especially federal and international public-sector tenders. Loopio, founded in 2014 in Toronto, is a library-first platform for RFPs, DDQs and security questionnaires, with generative AI that drafts from approved library content and cites it.

Which is cheaper, AutogenAI or Loopio?

Neither publishes a dollar price as of October 2026\. AutogenAI's own 2026 buyer guide lists pricing as "Contact for pricing" and names enterprise-tier pricing with minimum seat commitments. Loopio labels every plan "Let's Talk" and includes 10 seats on the entry Foundations plan, with unlimited projects on every tier.

Which is better for security questionnaires versus narrative bids?

Loopio treats security questionnaires and DDQs as a core library job, alongside RFPs. AutogenAI's own positioning is long-form essay and narrative proposals for government bid teams. If your week is Excel grids, Loopio matches the artifact. If your week is a multi-section narrative tender, AutogenAI matches the artifact.

Do AutogenAI and Loopio integrate with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint?

Both list SharePoint and Microsoft Teams. Loopio also lists Slack, Salesforce, Seismic, Copilot, Confluence and Glean, and sells Salesforce and Highspot as add-ons. Slack is not listed for AutogenAI in this directory. AutogenAI's recorded connectors are SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.

Is there a free trial of AutogenAI or Loopio?

Neither pricing surface in this record offers a self-serve trial. AutogenAI is quote-only, and its own guide says onboarding takes a dedicated up-front time investment. Loopio routes buyers to a sales conversation for a custom quote.

Should I choose AutogenAI or Loopio?

Choose AutogenAI for long-form government and narrative bids, including teams that need to ask whether the contract is the commercial tenant or the separate FedRAMP High environment. Choose Loopio for a curated answer library, unlimited projects, and high volumes of structured questionnaires.

Do AutogenAI and Loopio list ISO 27001, SOC 2, and US or EU hosting?

AutogenAI: ISO 27001 ISO 27001, SOC 2 SOC 2, US Yes (AWS and Azure US; FedRAMP High on AWS GovCloud), EU Yes (AWS and Azure UK for UK and EU customers), Slack Not listed, Teams Microsoft Teams, clouds AWS, Azure, GCP. Loopio: ISO 27001 ISO 27001 (legal addendum), SOC 2 SOC 2 Type II, US Yes (AWS Northern Virginia; DR in Northern California), EU Yes (Loopio EU on AWS Ireland), Slack Slack (NA and EU apps), Teams Microsoft Teams (NA and EU apps), clouds AWS. Confirm both on the vendor sites.
