## Security: ISO 27001, SOC 2, and regional hosting

Put Skypher and Vendict through the same three questions a security reviewer will ask: ISO 27001, SOC 2, and whether you can keep the tenancy in the US or the EU. Cells say **Not listed** when we could not find the claim on a public vendor page.

__Confirm certificates and residency on the vendor site or Trust Center before a formal review.Skypher: Skypher states EU and US hosting for Trust Center data ("Choose where your Trust Center data lives"). Its trust center names AWS as the cloud provider but does not give regions for the questionnaire product, so confirm where questionnaire data is stored. Vendict: Hosting locations are listed in the Vendict Trust Center. Confirm which region your tenant is placed in.__

## Slack and Microsoft Teams

During a live questionnaire, SMEs get pinged in Slack or Teams, not in a vendor portal. Here is what Skypher and Vendict publish for those two connections.

## Subprocessors: the big three clouds, then the niche names

Compare Skypher and Vendict on AWS, Azure and GCP first. Then scan for niche processors a reviewer should pause on: third-party LLMs, session replay, or support that leaves the region you elected.

**Short answer:** Pick [Skypher](/skypher) if your pain is the questionnaire’s container: merged-cell spreadsheets, PDFs, Google Forms, and assessments that live inside OneTrust, Archer, CyberGRX or Whistic. Skypher lists imports from Excel, CSV, Numbers, Word, PDF and Microsoft or Google Forms, API connections to 40+ TPRM platforms, and a confidence score plus sources on every suggested answer. Pick [Vendict](/vendict) if your pain is the library: you have a folder of old questionnaires and policies, nobody wants to tag Q&A pairs, and the same team also fields RFPs and DDQs. Vendict builds a tagless knowledge base from uploaded files, puts unlimited seats on every plan, and offers a free trial through its demo booking.

Neither vendor will tell you a price on its website. That’s the one thing these two agree on completely.

Below, every claim comes from each vendor’s profile and fact file in this guide, checked against their own pages and trust centers in October 2026 (the Skypher G2 rating is from July 2026). Where a record is silent, this page says so instead of guessing.

## Key takeaways

- **Different first problem:** Skypher starts with intake and export across 40+ TPRM portals and seven file and form types. Vendict starts with a knowledge base you build by uploading documents, with no tagging step.
- **Scope beyond security reviews:** Vendict sells the same engine for RFPs, RFIs and DDQs, with question assignment and answer analytics. Skypher treats RFPs and DDQs as source material only.
- **Reviewer signals:** Skypher shows confidence and accuracy scores with sources on each suggestion. Vendict promises “source-backed answers linked to verified evidence” and does not describe a per-answer confidence score.
- **Plan shape:** Vendict publishes three named questionnaire plans (5, 15 and 25+ questionnaires a month), all with unlimited seats, all “Contact Us.” Skypher publishes no plans at all.
- **Paperwork:** both list SOC 2 Type II. Vendict adds a TISAX AL2 label and names AWS Virginia and GCP Belgium. Skypher lists no ISO 27001 certificate and says its program is based on ISO 27002.
- **Limitations:** Skypher has no trial, and its trust center says custom SAML or Okta SSO may cost extra. Vendict keeps Slack, Teams and document-store integrations off its entry plan, and SSO and Salesforce sit on Enterprise.

## Two answers to the same 300-question spreadsheet

These tools solve the same job from opposite ends. Somebody sends your sales engineer a security questionnaire. The question each product answers first is different: Skypher asks “how do we get this file in and back out without wrecking it,” and Vendict asks “how do we get good answers without anyone curating a library first.”

Skypher’s product page describes the loop plainly. You import the questionnaire, the AI matches each question to your knowledge base and drafts an answer, a person reviews and approves, and the export goes back to the original file or portal. Skypher calls the engine “proprietary extractive AI.” The knowledge base is organized around ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, NIST and SIG, which tells you who the product was designed for: people who think in control families.

Vendict’s loop starts a step earlier. You upload compliance documents, audit reports and past questionnaires, and Vendict builds what it calls a tagless knowledge base. Then you upload the questionnaire in whatever format or template it came in, the AI completes it, and your team reviews and exports. Configurable tone, length and context let you push a drafted answer toward terse or toward thorough.

If your existing content is already a tidy Q&A set organized by framework, Skypher’s structure will feel familiar. Got a messy archive and zero appetite for tagging? Vendict’s pitch is aimed at you. Both are honest designs. They just put the setup effort in different places.

## Getting questionnaires in and out

This is Skypher’s clearest win, and it’s not close on the records.

Skypher lists Excel, CSV, Apple Numbers, Word, PDF and Microsoft or Google Forms as import formats, and says it exports back into the original document. For portals, it claims API integrations with 40+ TPRM platforms, naming OneTrust, Archer, CyberGRX, Whistic and Prevalent, plus a browser extension for web portals outside that list. Anyone who has pasted answers into a vendor portal one text box at a time knows why that list matters more than any AI demo.

Vendict’s record is narrower but still useful. It says questionnaires can come in any format or template, and names Excel, Word and PDF, including files with conditional logic. That last detail is worth testing, because conditional rows (“if yes, describe”) are where many tools quietly drop answers. On the sales side, Vendict ships Chrome and Salesforce extensions so reps can answer inside the tools they already use.

What the Vendict record does not describe is a list of TPRM platform connections comparable to Skypher’s. If a large share of your inbound reviews arrive through OneTrust or Archer, ask Vendict directly how it handles those portals, and ask for a live run on one.

## What a reviewer sees before clicking approve

The approval click is where these tools earn their keep, so look hard at what each puts on screen.

Skypher says every suggested answer carries confidence and accuracy scores along with source transparency. In practice that means a reviewer can sort by low confidence, fix those first, and skim the rest with the source open beside them. On a long SIG, that ordering is most of the time saved.

Vendict’s plan sheet lists “source-backed answers linked to verified evidence.” That’s the right foundation. The record does not describe a per-answer confidence score, though, so ask in the demo how a reviewer is supposed to tell a well-supported answer from a thin one. A source link on every answer is good. A signal that says which answers need a second look is better, and you want to know whether Vendict has one.

On workflow, Vendict is the more complete product on paper. Every plan includes review and approval workflows, automatic expert assignment, question assignment with reviewer tagging, status tracking, and versioning with audit logs. Skypher covers assignment, real-time comments, and review and approval, then pushes owners, due dates and tags out to Jira, ServiceNow, Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics. That’s a sensible choice if your security team already lives in a ticketing tool. It also means the approval trail partly lives somewhere else.

Vendict adds two extras the Skypher record does not mention: GRC Mentor, a guidance layer meant to tighten answers, and a self-assessment tool that maps your documents against 40+ frameworks.

## The library: curated structure or upload and go

Skypher’s knowledge base is the more managed of the two. Its features page describes automated review cycles, duplicate detection, and continuous sync from internal wikis, SharePoint, Google Drive and Notion. Duplicate detection sounds dull until you have dozens of near-identical answers about encryption at rest, each written by a different engineer in a different year.

Vendict’s library is file-based. Unlimited files, versioning and audit logs, and separate libraries per product line on higher plans (1 on Growing, 3 on Scaling, 5+ on Enterprise). The trade is upfront effort for warm-up time. Vendict itself recommends uploading at least five past questionnaires or about 1,000 full responses to get the best results. A company with a decade of completed SIGs will clear that on day one. A two-year-old startup with three questionnaires in its archive will start slower, and Vendict deserves credit for saying so publicly.

Separate libraries per product line are a real benefit for companies that sell two products with different hosting or different certifications. The answer about data residency for Product A should never end up in Product B’s questionnaire. Check how many libraries you need before picking a plan, because the plan caps them.

## RFPs and DDQs: only one of these is trying

If your queue mixes security reviews with RFPs and due-diligence questionnaires, the records point one way.

Vendict markets an RFP, RFI and DDQ response tool for sales teams, built on the same engine as its security product. It lists question assignment, reviewer tagging, Excel, Word and PDF import, and answer analytics. It’s not positioned as a full proposal suite, and the records don’t describe proposal design or long-form narrative tools. But it is an actual workflow for those document types.

Skypher does not market an RFP workflow. Past RFPs and DDQs appear in its materials only as content you can feed into the knowledge base. Its DDQ coverage, in the vendor record, comes from handling any questionnaire format rather than from a dedicated due-diligence workflow.

Concede the point cleanly: for a team that answers a mix of document types from one place, Vendict is the one built for that. For a team whose queue is almost entirely security questionnaires, Skypher’s narrower focus is not a weakness. It’s the product.

## Pricing: no numbers, but different amounts of shape

Both are quote-only. The difference is how much you can figure out before the call.

- **Published price:** Skypher has none (“Get a custom quote” or “Book a Demo”). Vendict has none either; every plan says “Contact Us.”
- **Named plans and sizing:** Skypher lists no plans. Vendict lists Growing, Scaling and Enterprise at 5, 15 and 25+ questionnaires a month, with 1, 3 and 5+ libraries.
- **Seats:** not published for Skypher. Unlimited on every Vendict plan.
- **Free plan and trial:** neither has a free plan. Skypher mentions no trial; Vendict offers a free trial arranged through a demo.
- **Slack and Teams:** a two-way integration on Skypher’s product page. Scaling plan and up on Vendict.
- **SSO:** custom SAML or Okta “may” cost extra on Skypher. Enterprise plan on Vendict.
- **Trust center:** Skypher sells one alongside the questionnaire product, price not published. Vendict prices it separately: 1 profile and 100 domains a year, 3 profiles and 500 domains, or Enterprise.
- **Support:** Skypher puts 24/7 support with a dedicated account manager in a premium Enterprise package. Vendict’s record does not specify support tiers.

**Skypher’s** pricing page says “Flexible pricing for companies of all sizes” and stops there. No tiers, no starting figure, no trial. You learn the price after a demo. Two cost lines are worth raising on that call because Skypher’s own materials flag them: SSO through custom SAML or Okta may be extra, and round-the-clock support with a named account manager sits in a premium package for Enterprise customers.

**Vendict’s** sheet gives you more to model. Count the security questionnaires you answered last year and divide by twelve. Then look at your worst month, because the caps are monthly. A team that averages four a month but gets ten at quarter end is past Growing. Unlimited seats on every plan is a genuine plus: when half your answers need a quick look from legal or an infrastructure engineer, nobody is fighting over licenses. The managed TPRM service and the trust center are priced separately, so make sure the quote says which of the three you are buying.

## Trust centers on both sides

Each vendor sells a trust center alongside the questionnaire product, so this is closer to a tie than the rest of the page.

Skypher’s trust center offers NDA-gated documents, click-wrap or DocuSign approval, Dropbox Sign as a listed integration, and access analytics. It also lets you choose EU or US hosting for trust center data, which is useful if European prospects are the ones downloading your SOC 2 report.

Vendict’s Interactive Trust Center also gates documents behind an NDA, and adds a way for visitors to upload their own questionnaire for a response. The trust center plans are sized by profiles and approved domains per year (1 profile and 100 domains on Growing, 3 profiles and 500 domains on Scaling). If you sell several products with separate security postures, the profile count is the number to watch.

## Security, regions and subprocessors

This section matters most to whoever signs off on the vendor, so the details are kept literal.

**Certifications.** Skypher lists SOC 2 Type II, with the report available on request from its trust center. No ISO 27001 certificate is listed; Skypher says its security program is based on ISO 27002\. Vendict states continuous SOC 2 Type 2 attestation since 2022, covering security, availability and confidentiality, and lists TISAX AL2, GDPR and CCPA. TISAX is uncommon in this category and helpful if you sell into the automotive supply chain.

**Hosting.** Vendict names two locations: AWS in Virginia and GCP in Belgium. Confirm which region your tenant lands in. Skypher names AWS as its cloud provider and offers EU or US hosting for trust center data, but its trust center does not state regions for the questionnaire product. If residency is a contract term, get the questionnaire data location in writing.

**Subprocessors.** Skypher’s list is short. The trust center says SendGrid, for transactional email, is the only third-party vendor involved in operating the service besides AWS hosting. No AI model provider is named, so ask how the extractive AI is hosted and whether any outside model sees your content. Vendict describes its subprocessors inside a trust center control rather than a table: Google for authentication and data processing, AWS for AI functions, Redis for vector search, Workato as the integration platform, and Pylon for support. A separate control names Microsoft Azure OpenAI as an example external AI service and says identifiers are stripped before data is sent. Workato is the one to check: integration traffic passes through a third-party iPaaS, so find out which of your connected sources route through it, and ask for the current AI processor list.

A short list isn’t automatically safer, and a long one isn’t automatically worse. Vendict tells you more about its AI path. Skypher has fewer names on the page. Your security reviewer can decide which of those is the better starting position.

## Slack, Teams and the rest of the stack

Skypher’s collaboration story is the stronger of the two at entry level. Its Slack and Teams integration is two-way: upload a questionnaire from a channel, collaborate there, and ask the Skypher bot about your security content. Beyond chat, the integration list includes Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow, Jira, Google Drive, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Notion, Confluence, Okta and Microsoft Entra ID, plus the TPRM platforms named earlier.

Vendict’s integration list is shorter and gated by plan. Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Drive, SharePoint and Confluence start on Scaling. Salesforce and custom GRC integrations are Enterprise. The Chrome extension and Salesforce extension cover answering in place. If your security team runs on Slack and your answers live in Confluence, the Growing plan will feel cramped quickly.

## Customers and public reviews

Skypher names Adobe, Deel, TeamViewer, TCN, CMA CGM, Bitrise, Swile, 1upHealth, Retool, Front, Ubble and MadKudu on its customers page. It’s backed by Y Combinator and Kima Ventures, with amounts not disclosed. On G2, Skypher held 4.9 out of 5 from 10 reviews as of July 2026\. Ten reviews is a thin sample, so treat the score as encouraging rather than conclusive.

Vendict’s homepage shows Square, Yotpo, Trimble, Orca Security, JFrog, Kaltura, Similarweb, Aidoc, Smith & Nephew, Hewlett Packard and OpenText. This guide’s Vendict record has no review-site rating, so none is quoted here.

## Known issues and limitations

### Skypher

- **No price, no trial:** the [pricing page](https://skypher.co/pricing) offers only a custom quote or a demo (checked October 2026).
- **SSO may cost extra:** the [Skypher trust center](https://trust.skypher.co/) says some SSO options, such as custom SAML or Okta, may incur an extra cost.
- **Premium support is a package:** 24/7 support with a dedicated account manager is part of a premium Enterprise support package, per the [product page](https://skypher.co/security-questionnaires-automation-software).
- **Not an RFP tool:** RFPs and DDQs appear only as source content, not as workflows.
- **Questionnaire data region unstated:** EU and US regions are offered for trust center data; the questionnaire product’s region is not given.

### Vendict

- **Volume caps:** the [plans page](https://vendict.com/plans-pricing/platform-pricing) sizes questionnaire plans at 5, 15 and 25+ a month, with no published prices (checked October 2026).
- **Integrations by tier:** Slack, Teams, Google Drive, SharePoint and Confluence start on Scaling; Salesforce and SSO are Enterprise-only.
- **Warm-up cost:** the [security questionnaire page](https://vendict.com/security-questionnaire-automation) recommends at least five past questionnaires or about 1,000 responses for best results.
- **No described confidence score:** answers link to evidence, but a per-answer confidence signal is not documented.
- **More AI processors to review:** the [Vendict trust center](https://trust.vendict.com/) lists Workato and Redis, and names Azure OpenAI in a separate control.

## Choose Skypher when

- Most of your security questionnaires arrive through TPRM portals such as OneTrust, Archer, CyberGRX, Whistic or Prevalent, or as odd formats like Numbers files and Google Forms.
- You want a confidence score and sources on every draft so reviewers can triage instead of reading everything.
- Your content is already organized around ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST or SIG, and you want duplicate detection and review cycles to keep it that way.
- Your team works in Slack or Teams and you want two-way intake there from day one.
- Your queue is almost all security reviews, and RFPs are someone else’s problem.

## Choose Vendict when

- You have a deep archive of past questionnaires and policies and want answers without tagging a library first.
- The same team also handles RFPs, RFIs and DDQs and wants one engine for all of them.
- Lots of occasional reviewers need access and you want unlimited seats on every plan.
- You need a trial before committing, or a TISAX AL2 label for automotive buyers.
- You sell several product lines and want separate libraries for each.

## Verdict

Same category, different first problem. Skypher’s genuine strength is plumbing: seven import types, 40+ TPRM portal connections, exports back to the original file, and a confidence score on every answer. It’s the one to test if your questionnaires are scattered across portals and formats. Vendict’s genuine strength is breadth with low setup: a tagless library built from files you already have, unlimited seats, RFP and DDQ coverage on the same engine, and a trial you can actually get.

Run both on the same ugly questionnaire you finished last quarter. Pick the one whose drafts your reviewers approved with the fewest edits, then read the SSO and volume terms twice before you sign.

## Frequently asked questions

What is the main difference between Skypher and Vendict?

Both draft security questionnaire answers with AI and both sell a trust center. Skypher is built around getting questionnaires in and out of wherever they arrive: Excel, CSV, Numbers, Word, PDF, Microsoft or Google Forms, and API connections to 40+ TPRM platforms. Vendict is built around a tagless knowledge base made from uploaded documents, and it sells the same engine for RFPs, RFIs and DDQs as well as security questionnaires.

How much do Skypher and Vendict cost?

Neither publishes a price. Skypher's pricing page offers a custom quote or a demo and lists no plans. Vendict's plans all say Contact Us, but they are named and sized: Growing (5 questionnaires a month, 1 library), Scaling (15 a month, 3 libraries) and Enterprise (25+ a month, 5+ libraries), each with unlimited seats.

Can I try Skypher or Vendict before buying?

Vendict offers a free trial, arranged by booking a demo. Skypher's pricing page mentions no free plan and no trial, so the first step is a demo and a custom quote.

Which one is better for RFPs and DDQs?

Vendict, on the vendor records. It markets an RFP, RFI and DDQ response tool with question assignment, reviewer tagging, Excel, Word and PDF import and answer analytics. Skypher uses past RFPs and DDQs only as source material for its knowledge base and does not market a workflow for answering them.

Do Skypher and Vendict work in Slack and Microsoft Teams?

Both do. Skypher's Slack and Teams integration is two-way, so you can upload a questionnaire from a channel and ask its bot about your security content. Vendict includes Slack and Teams from the Scaling plan up, not on Growing.

Where do Skypher and Vendict host data?

Vendict's trust center names AWS in Virginia and GCP in Belgium. Skypher's trust center names AWS as its cloud and offers an EU or US region for trust center data, but it does not give regions for the questionnaire product, so ask where questionnaire content is stored.

Do Skypher and Vendict list ISO 27001, SOC 2, and US or EU hosting?

Skypher: ISO 27001 Not listed, SOC 2 SOC 2 Type II, US Yes (US region option for Trust Center data), EU Yes (EU region option for Trust Center data), Slack Slack (two-way: upload questionnaires, AI bot), Teams Microsoft Teams (two-way), clouds AWS. Vendict: ISO 27001 Not listed, SOC 2 SOC 2 Type II, US Yes (AWS, Virginia), EU Yes (GCP, Belgium), Slack Slack (Scaling plan and up), Teams Microsoft Teams (Scaling plan and up), clouds AWS, GCP. Confirm both on the vendor sites.
