# Docket review: pricing, features and alternatives (2026)

## Quick answer

Docket is AI-native RFP software for B2B marketing teams that want an AI agent answering product and security questions for website visitors. Pricing starts at $3,000/mo on a usage-based model. Check before buying: Its RFP automation page now redirects to the homepage, and the current help center covers only the website agent.

## The verdict up front

If you landed here looking for an RFP tool called DocketAI, the short answer is that it has moved on. The company now brands itself Docket, docketai.com redirects to docket.io, and the product on sale is an AI agent that sits on your website and turns visitors into booked meetings. The page that used to sell RFP and security-questionnaire automation now redirects to the homepage.

So here’s my honest take: Docket is a real, funded company with a credible security posture and published prices. It is just no longer an RFP response tool you can buy off the shelf. If your problem is a 250-row security questionnaire due Friday, you want a different page in this directory. If your problem is buyers asking security and pricing questions on your website at 11pm with nobody there to answer, keep reading.

## What it used to be, and why that matters

Docket launched as an “AI sales engineer”. TechCrunch’s July 2024 coverage of its $15M Series A describes a tool that helped non-technical sellers get fast answers to technical questions and helped draft RFPs and other technical documents. Founder Arjun Pillai left ZoomInfo in August 2023 to start it, and the article names ZoomInfo and Demandbase as customers.

An archived June 2025 copy of Docket’s RFP automation page makes the old pitch plain. It claimed 200-question RFPs answered in under three minutes, confidence scoring with source attribution, support for multi-tab and unstructured questionnaire files, and a direct invitation to switch from Loopio or Responsive. Treat those as Docket’s own claims from that era; there are no independent numbers behind them that I could find.

Why bring up the history? Because search results and old comparison posts still describe Docket as an RFP tool. Capterra’s listing still says it “auto-fills RFPs and security questionnaires.” The vendor’s current site does not. When the two disagree, the vendor’s own current pages win, and those pages describe a website agent.

## What it actually does today

Docket calls the current product a Demand Agent, or an AI Marketing Agent, depending on which page you read. You add a JavaScript snippet to your site. The agent greets visitors, answers product questions by voice or text, asks qualifying questions, routes the conversation to the right rep and books a meeting. The full transcript and qualification notes then sync to Salesforce or HubSpot.

The use cases on its site are all inbound marketing: website conversion, account-based personalization, paid landing pages, PLG onboarding. There is a “Product Expert Agent” positioned for technical buyers, and Docket’s own LLM summary page says it handles “security reviews, integration requirements, and pricing edge cases” for those visitors. Read that carefully. It means a prospect can ask the agent about your SOC 2 report in a chat window. It does not mean the agent fills in the CAIQ that prospect’s procurement team emailed you.

The help center tells the same story. Its sections cover agent behavior, knowledge sources, widget setup, deployment, analytics and CRM integrations. There is no section on importing a questionnaire or exporting a completed RFP.

## How the knowledge base works

This is the part a response team might still care about. Docket’s answers come from what it calls the Sales Knowledge Lake, a governed knowledge layer that ingests CRM records, Gong call recordings, Slack, Google Drive, Notion, SharePoint and product documentation. The homepage says it draws on 100+ data sources; the integrations page lists named connectors including Seismic, Highspot, Confluence and Zendesk.

Two details are worth noting. First, Docket says its agents answer only from approved material, and when the agent cannot answer confidently it says so and offers a human handoff. That is the right instinct, and it is the same principle you want from any questionnaire tool. Second, the FAQ describes versioning and auditability, so you can see what knowledge the agent was drawing on at a point in time.

What you do not get, based on the current site, is the response-team scaffolding: a project per questionnaire, question assignment to subject-matter experts, a review and approval chain, or export back into the buyer’s file. Docket does document role-based access control and escalation rules, which is governance for the agent, not a workflow for a bid.

## Security and compliance posture

Here Docket is in good shape, and I’ll give it full credit. Its security page states SOC 2 Type I, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and GDPR, and points to a trust portal at security.docket.io for audit reports and policies. The DPA says production runs on AWS across multiple availability zones. The security page says Docket uses a mix of its own models and OpenAI, and that customer data is not used to train models or shared across customer instances.

The catch for European buyers is residency. Docket’s FAQ says plainly that it does not currently offer EU-specific data residency. The Enterprise plan lists “custom data residency and hosting options,” so ask what that means in practice before you assume it covers you. SSO and SAML also sit on the Enterprise plan only.

The DPA refers you to the trust portal for the full subprocessor list. The portal is a JavaScript app that would not render for me, so request the list during procurement rather than relying on this page.

## Pricing and how to buy it

Credit where due: Docket publishes numbers, which is more than most tools in this directory do. Pricing is set by monthly website visitors, billed annually.

- **Growth:** starting at $3K per month for up to 20,000 monthly visitors, with CRM sync, meeting booking, voice and text, and 7 to 14 days of standard onboarding.
- **Scale:** starting at $4K per month for 20,000 to 100,000 visitors, adding unlimited data sources, multiple agents, Demandbase account targeting and a video avatar.
- **Enterprise:** custom pricing for 100,000+ visitors, adding SSO and custom data residency options.

There is no free trial; the pricing FAQ offers a customized demo built on your own website instead. Every plan routes through “Book a demo,” and implementation is done by Docket’s CS team. One oddity: a page on Docket’s site for prospects who don’t qualify says “minimum pricing starts at $2,000/month,” which doesn’t match the $3K on the pricing page. Confirm the real floor on the call.

For an RFP buyer the bigger point is the meter. You’d be paying for website traffic, not for questionnaires answered or seats used. That only makes sense if the website agent is the thing you actually want.

## Where it falls short

For this directory’s job, the shortfalls are structural rather than cosmetic:

- **It is not marketed as a response tool anymore.** The RFP automation URL redirects to the homepage, and nothing in the current product pages or help center covers questionnaire import or export.
- **The entry price is high for questionnaire work.** $3K a month billed annually is $36K a year before you have answered a single RFP, and that money buys a website agent.
- **No EU-specific residency today,** per Docket’s own FAQ, with custom residency reserved for Enterprise.
- **SSO and SAML are Enterprise-only.**

## Who should shortlist it, and who should skip it

Shortlist Docket if you run marketing or revenue operations at a B2B SaaS or technology company with real inbound traffic (Docket says its sweet spot is 200 to 2,000 employees). It fits best when your sales engineers are tired of answering the same pre-sales security and integration questions. Moving those questions to an agent that answers from approved content might genuinely cut the number of questionnaires that turn into a fire drill, because buyers get answers earlier.

Skip it if you need questionnaires and RFPs answered as documents, or if your buyers are in the EU and residency is a contract term. If you were hoping to find the 2024 AI sales engineer product, that version is not what’s on the price list unless sales tells you otherwise.

## How it sits next to catalog peers

Comparing Docket to response tools is a bit apples and oranges now, but people searching the old name deserve a straight steer.

**[Arphie](/arphie)** is the closest match to what Docket used to be. It drafts RFP and security-questionnaire answers from live connections to sources like Google Drive and SharePoint. Drafts show their sources plus a confidence score. Arphie wins on the actual response workflow. Docket wins if you want those same approved answers delivered to buyers on your website, and it publishes prices where Arphie quotes on request.

**[Tribble](/tribble)** is the other “governed answer layer” pitch. Tribble covers both proposal response and sales answers in Slack and Teams, priced per project and per user respectively. If you liked Docket’s original idea of one knowledge layer serving sellers and proposals, Tribble is the one still selling both halves. Docket’s advantage is that its pricing and certifications are on the public site.

**[Loopio](/loopio)** is the library-first incumbent: tagged, versioned answers and multi-step reviews, quote-only pricing. Docket’s old page openly targeted Loopio customers. Today they don’t compete. Loopio is for the team filling in the questionnaire; Docket is for the team that wants fewer prospects to need one.

**[AutoRFP.ai](/autorfp-ai)** is the accuracy-first tool for writing winning responses in a workflow that is easy to run. It drafts structured Word and Excel RFPs from approved content and exports back into the buyer’s file, on flat plans from $899 a month billed annually. If you are a SaaS or fintech response team, it covers the document job Docket no longer markets. Docket covers the website conversation AutoRFP.ai doesn’t touch. Plenty of companies could reasonably run both.

## What to test in a demo

If you still want to evaluate Docket, go in with a specific list:

1. Ask directly whether RFP or security-questionnaire automation is still sold, to new customers, today. Get the answer in writing.
2. Load your real security documentation and ask the agent ten questions from your last CAIQ. Check every answer against the source.
3. Ask a question your documents don’t cover and confirm it declines and hands off instead of improvising.
4. Ask for the subprocessor list and the current SOC 2 Type II report from the trust portal.
5. If you sell into Europe, ask what Enterprise “custom data residency” means: which region and at what price.
6. Confirm the real minimum price, given the $2K and $3K figures on different pages.
7. Check what the CRM record looks like after a conversation, field by field, in Salesforce or HubSpot.

The one-liner: Docket is a decent website agent with good security paperwork, wearing the old name of an RFP tool. Buy it for the first job, not the second.

## Who should pick Docket, and who should skip it

**Pick it if** you fit this profile: mid-market B2B SaaS and technology marketing teams that want inbound visitors qualified by an agent, not proposal teams filling in RFP grids. Where it earns its place: Publishes real prices: $3K/month for Growth and $4K/month for Scale, billed annually.

**Look elsewhere if** this limitation is a deal-breaker: Its RFP automation page now redirects to the homepage, and the current help center covers only the website agent. Also look around if ddqs is central to how you work (0/3 here). In that case, one of the [Docket alternatives](/alternatives/docketai) may fit better.

## Bottom line

### Similar tools

Loopio, AutoRFP.ai, and Responsive come first as category benchmarks, followed by the closest peers on the job Docket is hired for (shared categories and tags, plus aligned capabilities). The snapshot above already scores each job. The notes below say where each tool is stronger, lighter, or a match.

[**Loopio**](/loopio) (4.6/5, Custom (\~$20K+/yr est.)). Best for large enterprise teams with high response volume and a mature content library. Matches Docket on AI drafting, and leads on RFPs and DDQs. Audience: Teams in SaaS, tech, financial services, and healthcare answering high volumes of RFPs, RFIs, DDQs, and security questionnaires. Watch-out: No public prices: the entry Foundations plan includes 10 seats, and multi-step reviews start one tier up on Enhanced.

[**AutoRFP.ai**](/autorfp-ai) (4.9/5, $899/mo). Best for software and finance teams answering structured RFPs in Word and Excel who want accuracy-first drafts, responses written to win, and a workflow that is easy to run. Leads Docket on RFPs, DDQs, and AI drafting. Audience: Software and finance response teams whose RFPs come in as Word or Excel files and who want accuracy-first drafts, winning responses with every line cited to a source, a person, or the AI, and a workflow that is easy to run. Watch-out: Built for structured, source-cited answers rather than creative writing on long-form responses. For persuasive multi-page narrative, AutogenAI is built for that prose job.

[**Responsive**](/responsive) (4.6/5, $10,000 (Emerging edition)). Best for enterprise teams with complex approval chains and heavy integration requirements. Matches Docket on AI drafting, and leads on RFPs and DDQs. Audience: Enterprise sales and proposal teams that need the widest workflow across RFPs, RFIs, DDQs, and security questionnaires. Watch-out: Quoted by edition, user count, and add-ons, with a 12-month minimum term as standard and no free trial.

[**Iternal**](/iternal) (4.0/5, Custom). Best for government, defense, and enterprise teams that need AI running fully on their own infrastructure. Matches Docket on AI drafting, and leads on RFPs and DDQs. Audience: Regulated and classified environments that cannot use cloud AI and want local deployment plus strategy help. Watch-out: Waypoint discovery covers US public-sector sources only (SAM.gov, Grants.gov and similar).

[**Steerlab**](/steerlab) (4.2/5, Custom). Best for B2B software presales teams that want sourced AI drafts on RFPs and security questionnaires without curating a Q&A library by hand. Matches Docket on AI drafting, and leads on RFPs and DDQs. Audience: Presales and proposal teams at B2B software companies (security teams too), especially EU-based ones that want their data hosted in Europe. Watch-out: No public price list: the pricing URL returns a 404, so every paid plan is quoted after a demo.

[**Anchor**](/anchor-ai) (4.3/5, $125,000/yr). Best for enterprise sales and presales teams answering long, technical RFPs who want every teammate in the tool without seat fees. Matches Docket on AI drafting, and leads on RFPs and DDQs. Audience: Enterprise B2B teams where solutions engineers and security staff share the RFP and questionnaire load across messy Excel and PDF formats. Watch-out: The only public price is a $125,000 Enterprise Plan for a 12-month contract on AWS Marketplace, sized on about 150 questions per opportunity.
