Sequesto is a Belgian bid platform that puts an AI agent in charge of the grunt work and keeps a person in charge of the sign-off. If you run a European bid desk that answers tenders and security questionnaires in the same week, and you are tired of vendors who will not say what anything costs, it belongs on your shortlist. Its pricing page lists Team at €750 a month and Scale at €2,500 a month, both billed annually. That alone puts it ahead of most of this category on honesty.

The catch is the shape of those plans. The entry tier is small, the useful integrations sit one tier up, and single sign-on costs extra until you reach Enterprise. Read the plan grid with a pen in hand before you get excited about the headline number.

Everything below comes from Sequesto’s own product and pricing pages plus its press material, read in October 2026\. Nothing here is from hands-on use, so treat the last section as the list of things to prove in a trial.

## The verdict up front

Shortlist Sequesto if you are a mid-sized European team that wants one workspace for tenders (UK-style PQQs and ITTs included) and for questionnaires such as DDQs or SIG and CAIQ, with cited drafts and a configurable approval flow. Skip it if you are a US federal contractor, if you only answer one questionnaire a quarter, or if you need SSO on a small budget.

It is a capable all-rounder rather than a specialist. It does not claim the deepest answer library in the market, and it does not claim the best long-form essay writer. What it claims is a governed process from intake to submission, and the product pages back that up with more workflow detail than most AI-first tools bother to publish.

## What it actually does

Sequesto calls the product an “agentic operating system”, which is a mouthful, so here is the plain version. Each tender or questionnaire gets its own workspace. You drop in the files, the system breaks the document into questions or requirements, and an agent drafts answers from your approved content and connected drives. Reviewers then edit and approve, and the finished file goes back out.

The company was founded in 2020 in Ghent by Patrick Dalvinck and Evrard t’Serstevens, per its About page. Dalvinck spent over a decade at Trend Micro, and t’Serstevens built technology at N26\. The About page lists more than 20 team members and more than 50 customers. In September 2025 Smartfin and Newion put €2.5 million into the company, according to its own pressroom, and TorusVC is listed as a backer too.

The use-case list is broad. Its menus cover RFP response, DDQ response, security questionnaires, ESG questionnaires, PQQs, ITTs and reference mapping. The PQQ page is written for UK buyers, naming NHS trusts and local authorities as the contracting bodies you will meet. The ITT page talks about the two-stage PQQ then ITT process and about carrying evidence from one stage to the next. If you have lived through a UK public-sector framework bid, you will recognise the pain points it lists.

The press boilerplate names Barona, delaware, ISS Facility Services and Oodrive as customers, and the homepage adds logos for Xerox, Efficy, Eltel, Nextbike and Synertec. That is a European services and infrastructure crowd, which matches the industry pages, running from consulting and facility management through to pharma and software.

## How drafting and the knowledge base work

The drafting engine is built around an orchestrating agent the company calls James. James decides what needs doing next and hands narrower jobs to specialist sub-agents, from extraction through drafting and review support. The product page is clear that final wording and approval stay human, which is the right instinct for anything going to a buyer.

On security questionnaires the flow is concrete. You upload the questionnaire as the buyer sent it, spreadsheet or document. Sequesto parses it into a structured question list with section and category captured. The agents walk each row, pull the best-matched approved content from the Knowledge Hub, and present a cited draft with a confidence score. Reviewers approve per answer, approved answers flow back into the hub, and export regenerates the original format.

That last part matters more than it sounds. Plenty of tools draft well and then hand you a spreadsheet that looks nothing like the one the buyer sent. Sequesto says it writes back to the original format, or to the buyer’s own template, and that is worth checking with your ugliest file.

The knowledge model is a hybrid. There is a Knowledge Hub that grows from approved work, and there are connected sources that Sequesto reads where they sit rather than copying into a second store. The free-trial page adds that permissions are enforced at the data layer, so someone who cannot open a document in SharePoint cannot reach it through the agent either. If your security team has ever asked “so the bot can see the board pack?”, that sentence is the one to show them.

The model layer is described as one primary frontier model family, upgraded deliberately rather than swapped weekly. The page does not name the provider. That is a fair design choice for stability, and also a question to put to sales if your procurement team needs the model vendor on a subprocessor list.

Every plan lists responses in more than 30 languages, which suits a Belgian vendor selling across Europe.

## Workflow and collaboration

This is where Sequesto puts in more effort than a lot of AI-first tools. Workflow states and properties are configurable, so your stages can match how your team actually moves from intake to sign-off. Projects can be viewed as kanban boards or timelines, with a table view for detail. Subject matter experts can be routed in for the questions they own without having to learn the whole platform.

The free-trial page has a nice test buried in it: ask an expert who contributes twice a quarter to add one answer. That is exactly the person who makes or breaks adoption, and it is good to see a vendor say so.

Slack and Microsoft Teams are both listed on the integrations page, with approvals and deadline reminders landing in chat. On the pricing page those notification integrations start at Scale, so Team buyers should not assume they get them.

## Security and compliance posture

Sequesto states SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certification on its security and governance page, and its About page repeats both and adds GDPR compliance. The audit story is strong on paper: every agent action is logged with who did it and when, plus the source it drew on, and access is role-based.

What is missing from the public pages is hosting detail. The pricing page offers region selection for processing and storage, plus a dedicated Private Cloud, on Enterprise. It does not say which regions or which cloud. The privacy policy covers the marketing website only, so do not read its hosting line as a statement about the product. Ask for the subprocessor list and data-residency options in writing before legal gets involved.

## Pricing and how to buy it

The pricing page is unusually complete:

- **Team:** €750 a month billed annually, 3 users included, 2 MCP integrations, standard dashboards, email support, onboarding included.
- **Scale:** €2,500 a month billed annually, 15 users included, 4 MCP integrations, SharePoint and Google Drive, Teams and Slack notifications, usage tracking, priority support.
- **Enterprise:** custom annual contract with unlimited users, custom API connections, SSO, SLAs and a designated CSM.
- **Add-ons:** extra users at €200 per user per month, AI credits at €50 per 1,000, a slide deck builder at €25 per user per month, and SSO at €450 a month on Team and Scale.

Monthly billing exists as well; the page says annual works out about 17% cheaper per month. There is no multi-year lock-in on Team or Scale, though the page notes most Enterprise customers sign for two or three years.

The trial is 7 days with no credit card, but it is not a click-and-go signup. It starts with an intake call and a one-hour onboarding session, and the company frames it around running a real project. That is a sensible trial design. It is also a sales touchpoint, so plan your calendar accordingly.

Do the user maths early. On Team, a fourth and fifth user cost €400 a month on top of the €750\. At twelve users, Team costs €2,550 a month, which is more than Scale’s €2,500 with 15 users included. The pricing page says as much: consistently exceed your included seats and the next tier gives better per-user economics.

## Where it falls short

- **Small entry tier.** Team includes 3 users and 2 integrations. Bid work is a team sport, so most buyers will either pay per extra user or move to Scale.
- **The useful plumbing sits on Scale.** SharePoint and Google Drive integration, plus Teams and Slack notifications, are listed from Scale at €2,500 a month billed annually.
- **SSO costs extra.** It is a €450 monthly add-on on Team and Scale and only included in Enterprise. Many IT teams will treat SSO as non-negotiable.
- **Credits are metered.** AI capacity is sized by tier, with top-ups at €50 per 1,000 credits. Ask what a typical 200-question questionnaire consumes so you can budget for peak season.
- **Thin public review base.** Software Finder showed a single review as of October 2026, which is too small a sample to call a trend. Ask for references in your own industry.

## Who should shortlist it, and who should skip it

**Shortlist it if** you are a European response team of roughly five to twenty people handling a mix of tenders and questionnaires, you care about cited answers and a visible approval trail, and you would rather read a price list than sit through three discovery calls.

**Skip it if** you are a US federal contractor needing FedRAMP-style assurances, a solo consultant who would never use the workflow layer, or an enterprise that needs named EU hosting in writing before a demo.

## How it sits next to its peers

**[Loopio](/loopio)** is the mature answer-library choice. Loopio has years of tagging and versioning behind it, plus multi-step review and a large customer base. Sequesto wins on transparency, since Loopio publishes no prices, and on the agent-first drafting model. Loopio still wins if library governance across a big content team is the main job.

**[Responsive](/responsive)** covers intake to submission for large enterprises with complex approval chains and a deep integration catalog. Its pricing page lists an Emerging edition from $10,000 as a platform fee with users on top. Sequesto is easier to budget at the low end and is more explicit about UK public-sector formats. Responsive is the safer pick for a global enterprise with heavy CRM requirements.

**[AutogenAI](/autogenai)** owns long-form narrative writing for public-sector bids, and offers a FedRAMP High environment for US federal work. If your bids are mostly essay-style quality submissions, AutogenAI is built for that prose. Sequesto is the better fit when the job is a structured mix of questions and evidence that needs approvals, rather than pages of narrative.

**[AutoRFP.ai](/autorfp-ai)** is the accuracy-first tool for writing winning responses in a workflow that is easy to run: software and finance teams answering structured RFPs in Word and Excel, with each answer showing where it came from and flat plans that include unlimited users. Sequesto publishes pricing too but charges per extra user, so AutoRFP.ai is the cleaner deal if you need lots of occasional contributors and a workflow that stays easy. Sequesto is the stronger fit for UK PQQ and ITT work and for teams that want configurable workflow states.

**[Tendium](/tendium)** is worth a look if you also need to find European public tenders, since it monitors procurement and summarises notices. Sequesto describes its own scope as intake to submission, so it picks up once you have decided to bid. Tendium also publishes an entry price (€125 a month for its Light plan), which makes the two easy to trial side by side.

## What to test in a demo or trial

Bring real work. The trial is designed for it, so use all seven days.

1. **Your ugliest questionnaire.** Upload a messy Excel with merged cells and multi-part questions. Check that the parsed question list is right before any drafting happens.
2. **Follow three citations.** Open a finished answer and trace three claims back to their source documents, which the trial page itself suggests. If any link points to a stale file, ask how freshness is handled.
3. **Round-trip export.** Export back into the buyer’s original file and diff it against the source. Formatting cleanup is where hours disappear.
4. **A PQQ with expiring evidence.** Load an insurance certificate close to expiry and see whether the expiry alert fires.
5. **The occasional expert.** Invite an SME who has never seen the tool to answer one question. Time how long it takes.
6. **Credit burn.** Ask for usage after a 200-question run and multiply by your busiest month.
7. **Hosting in writing.** Request the subprocessor list and the model provider. Then ask which regions are available for data residency.
8. **SSO cost.** Get the total for your user count with SSO added, on Team and on Scale, and compare it with an Enterprise quote.

The bottom line: Sequesto is a well-documented, honestly priced option for European bid teams that juggle tenders and questionnaires. Just price it at the tier you will actually need, not the one on the banner.

## Who should pick Sequesto, and who should skip it

**Pick it if** you fit this profile: bid managers in regulated European businesses, such as life sciences or financial services, who answer tenders and security questionnaires side by side. Where it earns its place: Published euro pricing, with onboarding included on every plan, is rare in a category that mostly hides behind demos.

**Look elsewhere if** this limitation is a deal-breaker: Team (€750/mo billed annually) includes only 3 users and 2 MCP integrations; extra users cost €200/user/mo. In that case, one of the [Sequesto alternatives](/alternatives/sequesto) may fit better.

## Bottom line

Best use case in one line: European bid and tender teams that want agent drafting plus configurable review workflows at a published price.
