# Vendict review: pricing, features and alternatives (2026)

## Quick answer

Vendict is AI-native security questionnaire and DDQ software for security teams with a backlog of past questionnaires who want AI to complete new ones without building a tagged library. Vendict does not publish a price, so buying is quote-only. Check before buying: Slack, Teams and document-store integrations start on Scaling; Salesforce and SSO are Enterprise-only.

Vendict is an AI questionnaire responder built for teams that would rather upload a pile of documents than curate an answer library. You feed it policies, audit reports and old questionnaires, it builds what it calls a tagless knowledge base, and it completes new security questionnaires from that. It fits a security or GRC team with a decent archive of past answers and no patience for tagging. It also has a trust center, an RFP and DDQ module, and a managed third-party risk service, so check which of those you are actually buying.

## The job it actually does

The core product is security questionnaire response. You upload the questionnaire in whatever format it came in (Vendict says Excel, Word and PDF are all fine, including conditional logic), the AI fills it, and your team reviews, edits and exports. The same engine is sold to sales teams as an RFP, RFI and DDQ response tool, with question assignment, reviewer tagging and a view of which answers win deals. There are Chrome and Salesforce extensions for answering inside the tools sales already lives in.

Around that sits an Interactive Trust Center, with NDA-gated documents and a way for visitors to upload their own questionnaire for an AI or human response. Vendict also runs a managed TPRM service for the buyer side of reviews, priced separately. If you are only answering, you can ignore that half of the website.

## What you get on paper

The plan sheet is more specific than most. Every questionnaire plan includes source-backed answers linked to evidence, configurable tone and length, review and approval workflows, automatic expert assignment, and versioning with audit logs. There is also GRC Mentor, a built-in guidance layer meant to tighten answers, and a self-assessment tool that maps your documents to 40+ frameworks.

Vendict’s plan sheet promises answers linked to verified evidence but does not describe a per-answer confidence score, so ask to see how a reviewer tells a strong answer from a guess.

On its own security, the Vendict trust center lists SOC 2 Type 2 attestation since 2022 and a TISAX AL2 label, which is unusual in this category and useful if you sell into automotive. It names hosting in Virginia on AWS and Belgium on GCP. Its subprocessors are described inside a control rather than a table: Google, AWS for AI processing, Redis for vector search, Workato as the integration platform, and Pylon for support. A separate control names Microsoft Azure OpenAI as an example of an external AI service, with identifiers stripped before data leaves. Worth asking for the current AI processor list in writing.

## Pricing reality

No prices are published. Every plan says “Contact Us.” The questionnaire product comes in three plans sized by volume: Growing at 5 questionnaires a month with 1 library, Scaling at 15 a month with 3 libraries, and Enterprise at 25+ a month with 5+ libraries. All three include unlimited seats, which is a genuine plus when half your answers need a quick look from legal or engineering.

There is a free trial, but you get to it by booking a demo rather than signing up.

## The honest catch

The integrations are tiered. Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Drive, SharePoint and Confluence start on Scaling, while Salesforce integration and SSO are Enterprise-only. If your security team lives in Slack and your answers live in Confluence, Growing will feel cramped.

The volume caps matter too. A team that gets a burst of 10 questionnaires at quarter end is already past Growing.

And the tagless approach has a warm-up cost. Vendict itself recommends uploading at least five past questionnaires or about 1,000 full responses to get the best results. That is reasonable, but a young company with two questionnaires in its archive should expect a slower start.

## How to test it

Ask for the trial and load it with your real archive, not a demo sample. Then feed it a fresh questionnaire you have already answered by hand and compare. Check whether every answer shows the evidence it came from, whether the approval flow matches how your team signs off, and how it handles a multi-tab spreadsheet with conditional logic. Finally, count the questionnaires you answered last year and map them to the monthly caps before the pricing call.

Who I’d hand it to: a security or GRC team with a solid archive of past questionnaires that wants AI drafting with review workflows and unlimited seats, without maintaining a tagged library.

Who I’d steer elsewhere: a team with very spiky volume or a thin archive, or one that needs Slack and SSO on a small budget, since those sit in the higher plans.

## Overview

## Security: ISO 27001, SOC 2, and regional hosting

A security review of Vendict usually starts with three questions: ISO 27001, SOC 2, and whether you can keep data in the US or the EU. We only mark a yes when a public vendor page supports it.

ISO 27001

Not listed

SOC 2

## Subprocessors

For Vendict, start with the big three clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP), then look at niche processors that touch answer content, call a third-party model, or record sessions.

AWS, Azure, GCP

AWS, GCP

- **Google:** User authentication and customer data processing (US and Belgium) [trust.vendict.com](https://trust.vendict.com/)
- **Amazon Web Services:** Processing customer data for AI functions [trust.vendict.com](https://trust.vendict.com/)
- **Redis:** Vector database encoding for AI search [trust.vendict.com](https://trust.vendict.com/)
- **Workato:** Integration platform handling customer data flows Watch-out: Integration traffic passes through a third-party iPaaS. Check which of your connected sources route through it. [trust.vendict.com](https://trust.vendict.com/)
- **Microsoft Azure OpenAI:** Named as an example external AI service; Vendict says identifiers are stripped before data is sent Watch-out: Appears in a data-handling control rather than the subprocessor list. ## Who should pick Vendict, and who should skip it

**Pick it if** you fit this profile: security, GRC and sales engineering teams answering security questionnaires (and some RFPs and DDQs) who would rather upload documents than curate Q&A pairs. Where it earns its place: No tagging chore: the knowledge base is built straight from uploaded files.

**Look elsewhere if** this limitation is a deal-breaker: No public prices, and questionnaire plans are capped by monthly volume (5, 15 or 25+). In that case, one of the [Vendict alternatives](/alternatives/vendict) may fit better.

Matches Vendict on RFPs and DDQs, and is lighter on AI drafting. Audience: Bid managers in regulated European businesses, such as life sciences or financial services, who answer tenders and security questionnaires side by side. Watch-out: Team (€750/mo billed annually) includes only 3 users and 2 MCP integrations; extra users cost €200/user/mo.

[**Thalamus AI**](/thalamus-ai) (4.2/5, Custom). Best for proposal teams that want bid qualification, compliance tracking and SME review in one AI workspace, not only faster drafting.
