Security: ISO 27001, SOC 2, and regional hosting
Put BreezeDocs and SparrowGenie through the same three questions a security reviewer will ask: ISO 27001, SOC 2, and whether you can keep the tenancy in the US or the EU. Cells say Not listed when we could not find the claim on a public vendor page.

BreezeDocs and SparrowGenie are both young, both publish prices, and both sell AI-assisted response software for RFPs and security questionnaires to teams that do not want an enterprise-suite contract. They aim at different rungs of the ladder. BreezeDocs starts at $149 a month and is built for small and mid-size businesses with a handful of named project managers and subject matter experts. SparrowGenie starts at $899 a month and pitches sales, RevOps and compliance teams at mid-market and enterprise companies, with SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 behind it.
If budget is the constraint and your questionnaires come as Word and Excel files, BreezeDocs is the more natural fit. If you need confidence-scored drafts, CRM and chat integrations, and a vendor that will clear a strict security review, SparrowGenie is. Both pricing pages need a careful read, which we will get to.
Key takeaways
- Price ladder: BreezeDocs runs $149, $449, $649 and $999 a month, billed annually. SparrowGenie runs $899/mo (Essentials) and $1,499/mo (Professional), billed yearly, with Enterprise on a custom quote.
- Seat model: BreezeDocs counts project managers and SMEs per tier (1 + 1 on Solo up to 3 + 10 on Enterprise). SparrowGenie counts users and projects per year, and its own pricing page gives two different sets of limits.
- Drafting approach: BreezeDocs matches questions to a curated Q&A library on every tier and adds generative drafting on AI+ ($649/mo) and Enterprise. SparrowGenie drafts from a central knowledge hub and shows a confidence score per answer, and the vendor says it can draft up to 80% of a response.
- Integrations: BreezeDocs integrates with Word, Excel, Azure OpenAI and machine translation platforms. SparrowGenie lists Slack, Microsoft Teams, Salesforce, HubSpot and Google Drive.
- Proof points: BreezeDocs holds a 5.0 Capterra rating from 15 reviews (as of July 2026). SparrowGenie names Siemens, Paysafe, Serrala and Questex as customers but had no Capterra reviews as of October 2026.
- Limitations: BreezeDocs has no CRM or chat integrations and gates generative AI to its top two tiers. SparrowGenie bills annually only and reserves SSO, conflict detection and advanced AI mapping for Professional.
Who is behind each product
BreezeDocs is made by Breeze Docs Inc., established in June 2023 in Bellevue, Washington. The founding team came from the language services industry, and translation-software company memoQ is both a strategic investor and a named customer. That heritage explains two things: the machine-translation integrations and the emphasis on keeping the buyer’s original Word or Excel file intact.
SparrowGenie is a 2025 launch from SurveySparrow, the survey and customer-experience software company, and is based in San Francisco. SurveySparrow is also listed as a customer, alongside Siemens, Paysafe, Serrala and Questex.
Reading both price lists carefully
Here is the verified pricing as of October 2026, then the fine print.
- BreezeDocs, from $149/mo: Solo $149, Starter $449, AI+ $649 and Enterprise $999, each shown as a monthly figure on an annual bill, and none of them available without first booking a demo.
- SparrowGenie, from $899/mo: Essentials at $899 and Professional at $1,499 a month, both on yearly billing, with Enterprise quoted separately. Its own FAQ prices the two plans at $9,999 and $16,999 a year, and the cards and feature table give different user and project limits, so get the figures confirmed. A 14-day trial needs no credit card.
The SparrowGenie inconsistency, spelled out. The Essentials card says 10 users and 25 projects; the feature table says 5 users and 10 projects. The Professional card says 25 users and 50 projects; the table says 20 users and 50 projects. And $899 a month billed yearly is $10,788 a year, against $9,999 in the FAQ. Neither number is necessarily wrong, but you should get the user count, project count and annual total in writing.
The BreezeDocs inconsistency. The plan cards show Starter at $449 and AI+ at $649, while a comparison table lower on the same page shows $499 and $699, plus a $0 “Freemium” column that no card offers. The cards are the current offer as far as we can tell. Confirm it on the quote anyway.
Two pricing pages, two sets of footnotes. Welcome to buying software in 2026.
What a team actually pays
| Team | BreezeDocs | SparrowGenie |
|---|---|---|
| 1 proposal lead + 1 SME, no generative AI needed | Solo, $149/mo ($1,788/yr) | Essentials, $899/mo |
| 1 lead + 3 SMEs, Word and Excel round-trips | Starter, $449/mo ($5,388/yr) | Essentials, $899/mo |
| 2 leads + 6 SMEs, generative drafting | AI+, $649/mo ($7,788/yr) | Essentials or Professional, depending on which user limit applies |
| 3 leads + 10 SMEs, SSO required | Enterprise, $999/mo ($11,988/yr); SSO not listed | Professional, $1,499/mo |
BreezeDocs is cheaper at every size we modeled, by a lot at the small end. SparrowGenie’s premium buys integrations, confidence scoring, conflict detection on Professional, and a certified security posture. Whether that premium is worth it depends on how many of those your deals require.
How the drafting differs
BreezeDocs: library first, generation on top
Every BreezeDocs tier includes Q&A Match, which compares incoming questions with your stored answers, and an auto-answer “Breeze button” that fills matches in. SMEs get assigned the questions the library cannot answer, edit collaboratively, and the project manager watches progress on a dashboard. From Starter, Word and Excel integration lets you edit in place and export the original editable file.
Generative drafting with retrieval-augmented generation is an AI+ and Enterprise feature. That makes the lower tiers a well-organized library with smart matching, which is genuinely what some teams need: if your questionnaires repeat, a curated answer beats a freshly generated one. BreezeDocs also helps you build that library on AI+ (300 Q&A pairs loaded during onboarding) and Enterprise (500).
BreezeDocs does not document per-answer citations. Enterprise lists “complete user and content traceability”, which is worth asking about in the demo.
SparrowGenie: hub first, confidence on every answer
SparrowGenie ingests your documents into a knowledge hub (one hub on Essentials, three on Professional) and drafts answers against imported RFPs and questionnaires. Each project keeps traceability between answers and source content, and each answer shows a confidence score so reviewers know where to look first. Professional adds conflict detection and what the vendor calls advanced AI mapping. The pricing table also lists Ask Genie, presets, and download in the original format.
The vendor’s claim is that SparrowGenie drafts up to 80% of an imported RFP in minutes. Treat that as the vendor’s best case and measure it on your own documents during the 14-day trial.
Stack fit
This is the clearest split between the two.
SparrowGenie connects to Salesforce and HubSpot on the CRM side, Slack and Microsoft Teams for collaboration, and Google Drive for content. For a RevOps-led team that wants RFP work visible next to the opportunity and wants SMEs pinged where they already work, that list covers the basics. Our research records also note SharePoint plus support-desk connectors (Zendesk, Freshdesk and Intercom), which is useful when the freshest product answers live in help-center articles rather than in a proposal library.
BreezeDocs connects to Microsoft Word and Excel, Azure OpenAI, and machine translation platforms. There is no CRM or chat connection, so SME assignments stay inside BreezeDocs. The translation integrations are the unusual extra: a team that answers the same security questionnaire in several European languages will get more from that than from a Slack app.
The first 30 days
How each vendor gets you live says a lot about who it expects to serve.
BreezeDocs starts with a demo and an annual order form, then leans on hands-on help. On AI+, the onboarding package loads 300 of your Q&A pairs and includes a live training session. Enterprise lifts the preload to 500 answers, extends training to a three-hour program, assigns a customer success manager, and adds a choice between a Sales AI Pilot or an Onboarding Lift add-on. Solo and Starter customers get the product and the dashboards, and do more of the loading themselves. A sensible plan for a small team is to gather the last ten completed questionnaires before the kickoff call, so the onboarding hours go into cleaning answers instead of hunting for files.
SparrowGenie offers a 14-day trial without a credit card, requested through the site. The feature table lists Train, Test and Improve steps for the knowledge hub, which hints at the intended rhythm: load content, test it against a past RFP, then fix what the drafts got wrong. Premium onboarding and a dedicated customer success manager are Enterprise items, so Essentials and Professional buyers should expect a lighter-touch start. Use the trial window properly: load one product’s documentation, import a questionnaire you answered last quarter, and compare the confidence scores against the answers you know were right.
Neither vendor publishes a typical time to go live, so ask for a named reference customer of your size and ask them directly.
Questions to put to each vendor
A short list that will save a renewal-day surprise:
For BreezeDocs
- Which price applies to my tier: the plan card or the comparison table?
- Can I add an extra SME seat without moving up a tier, and at what cost?
- When generative drafting is on, how does a reviewer see which library entry or document an answer came from?
- Which “coming soon” items are on a dated roadmap?
- What security documentation can you share with our infosec team?
For SparrowGenie
- Which user and project limits apply to my plan: the card, the table or the FAQ?
- Does a 300-question security questionnaire count as one project?
- What does an extra project, user or knowledge hub cost?
- Is the annual total $9,999 or $10,788 for Essentials, and $16,999 or $17,988 for Professional?
- Can we see the drafting rate on our own documents during the trial, rather than the vendor’s 80% figure?
Clearing your own security review
The security panel on this page lists certifications side by side. The practical consequence: SparrowGenie lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR and CCPA, so it should pass most vendor-risk reviews without a long exception process. The directory records no certifications for BreezeDocs. If your infosec team requires a SOC 2 report from every tool that stores security answers, ask BreezeDocs for its security documentation early, before you invest time in a demo cycle.
Known issues and watch-outs
BreezeDocs
- No CRM, Slack or Teams integration. On Capterra, two July 2025 reviews call the missing CRM link the main gap, and June and July 2025 reviews ask for Slack or Teams.
- Generative AI only on AI+ and Enterprise. Per the BreezeDocs pricing page, checked October 2026.
- Solo is small. 2 projects at a time and 25 Knowledge Hub files, with Word and Excel integration starting on Starter (pricing page).
- Roadmap items on the price list. Four features (custom Q&A sync, smart question identification, export templates and a Go/No-Go analyzer) still carry a “coming soon” label on the pricing page.
- Demo-led, annual purchase. Every plan routes through a booked demo and is billed annually (pricing page).
SparrowGenie
- Conflicting limits and prices. The SparrowGenie pricing page (checked October 2026) shows different user and project limits on its cards and table, and an FAQ annual price that does not match the monthly card.
- Key features start on Professional. SSO, conflict detection and advanced AI mapping are Professional features on the pricing page; Essentials gets one knowledge hub.
- Project caps. Every RFP, RFI, security questionnaire or proposal counts as a project against the plan cap, and extra users, projects and hubs are paid add-ons (pricing page).
- Thin independent feedback. Its Capterra listing showed 0 user reviews as of October 2026.
What each does well
BreezeDocs gives a small team a real response workflow (library, SME assignment, dashboards, original-file export) from $149 a month, and it will help load your first few hundred answers on AI+. Its 15 Capterra reviewers rate it 5.0.
SparrowGenie brings enterprise trappings to a mid-market price: confidence scores, traceability, conflict detection on Professional, CRM and chat integrations, and a certified security posture. The 14-day trial without a credit card is a fair way to test the drafting claim.
Pick BreezeDocs if
- Your budget is closer to $150 to $650 a month than $900 and up.
- Your work is mostly questionnaires and RFPs in Word and Excel that must go back in the buyer’s format.
- You answer in multiple languages.
- A curated library with smart matching is enough on most projects, and you can add generative drafting later on AI+.
- Your security team does not require a SOC 2 report from this tool, or BreezeDocs can satisfy them directly.
Pick SparrowGenie if
- You need Salesforce or HubSpot, and Slack or Teams, in the workflow.
- Reviewers want a confidence score on every drafted answer.
- Your own vendor-risk process expects SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001.
- Your project volume fits the plan caps, once you have them confirmed in writing.
- You can commit to annual billing at $899 a month or more.
Verdict
Price and paperwork decide this one. BreezeDocs is the value pick for small commercial teams whose documents are Word and Excel questionnaires, and its library-first design rewards teams with repetitive content. SparrowGenie is the better fit for mid-market sales and RevOps teams that need CRM and chat integrations, confidence-scored drafts and a certified vendor, and can pay roughly six times BreezeDocs’ entry price for it.
Whichever you shortlist, do one thing before signing: get the seat count, project or document limit, and annual total on the order form. Both vendors’ own pages leave room for a surprise, and the time to find it is before the renewal date. And run the same past questionnaire through both before you decide: a curated library and a confidence-scored hub fail in different ways, and an afternoon of side-by-side review will show you which failure you can live with.
