Security: ISO 27001, SOC 2, and regional hosting
Put Arphie and Inventive AI through the same three questions a security reviewer will ask: ISO 27001, SOC 2, and whether you can keep the tenancy in the US or the EU. Cells say Not listed when we could not find the claim on a public vendor page.

Short answer: Pick Inventive AI if finance needs a floor before the first call. Plans start at $10,000 a year: a platform fee that covers setup, onboarding, and features, plus usage fees per RFP and per security questionnaire, with unused RFPs rolling over and unlimited users on every plan. Pick Arphie if the draft has to read the live presales stack, especially Seismic, Highspot, and Vanta, and you can accept a contact form because Arphie publishes no price and no trial. Both were founded in 2023. Arphie is in San Francisco and describes a $2.9 million seed led by General Catalyst. Inventive AI is in Mountain View and raised a $4 million seed in 2024 led by Sierra Ventures. Both show a source and a confidence signal on drafted answers. As of September 2026, the published comparison on this page recorded both at 4.9 out of 5 on G2, Arphie on 26 reviews and Inventive AI on 73.
The useful questions are how you buy, what happens to the buyer’s file, and which complaints are dated. Marketing percentages are included below only as the vendors’ own claims, with the same caution this page already published: they are not an independent benchmark.
Key takeaways
- Same job, different meter: both draft from connected documents and show citations. Inventive AI will tell you the subscription starts at $10,000 a year plus usage. Arphie will tell you to write to the contact form.
- Review samples, kept from the published comparison: 4.9 out of 5 on G2 as of September 2026, Arphie on 26 reviews, Inventive AI on 73.
- Connectors: Arphie adds Seismic, Highspot, Box, Egnyte, and Vanta. Inventive AI adds HubSpot, Microsoft Teams, Jira, Zendesk, and OneDrive.
- Files: Inventive AI says it exports answers back into the original multi-tab file. Reviewers in June and August 2026 say complex exports sometimes need a formatting pass. Arphie is stronger in this record on portals, Slack, and an MCP server than on unusual templates.
- An Arphie strength: citation-forward drafts from live connections, including enablement platforms and Vanta, with step-by-step reasoning the platform page has called full auditing capability.
- An Inventive AI strength: a citation and a confidence score on every answer, unlimited users, and a connector list that includes the Microsoft and HubSpot tools many revenue teams already run.
- Limitations: Arphie’s SAML single sign-on is described as an Enterprise-customer feature, and G2 reviewers from June to September 2026 say generation can take a while. Inventive AI’s ISO 27001 line belongs to its cloud providers. Reviewers from June to August 2026 call analytics light.
Two 2023 companies reading the files you already have
Arphie describes itself in this guide as AI-native drafting for presales and sales-engineering teams. The customer names on the record are Navan, Front, Contentful, Qualys, Recorded Future, Braze, commercetools, and Cyberhaven. The pitch is live connections. Arphie reads Google Drive, SharePoint, Confluence, Notion, Seismic, Highspot, and the other stores in the fact file. Arphie says that when a source changes, the draft can follow without someone re-keying the library. Hold the demo to a real edit in Drive.
Inventive AI’s summary is an AI-native response-management platform for teams whose content already sits in a wide set of tools. Customers on the record include HiBob, Culture Amp, Ironclad, Spectro Cloud, Rad AI, Insider, Ripple, AssetWorks, MaxVal, Oasis Security, and Hygraph. The profile’s key features are drafts with a citation and confidence score, a central knowledge hub, automatic flags for stale or duplicate content, agents for research and refinement, and connections into Salesforce, Slack, Confluence, and more. The previously published comparison on this page also described a Response Agent, a Review Agent that checks the full draft for unanswered requirements, contradictions, and tone, a Compliance Checker, and a Content Governance Agent that flags expired certifications and conflicting answers. Those agent names are the vendor’s packaging. Test the behaviors: a missed requirement, a contradiction, an expired certificate.
Both sit in response software. Neither profile claims to be a proposal-design studio, a CPQ, or a public-sector capture suite. If your week is long narrative essays for a federal bid, this pair is the wrong shortlist. If your week is security workbooks and DDQs, you are in the right aisle.
A young company can still be the right buy. The seed figures tell you the stage. Arphie’s $2.9 million round led by General Catalyst and Inventive AI’s $4 million round led by Sierra Ventures are both small beside a decade-old response suite. Ask who staffs support and what the roadmap depends on. Then rank the products on the draft, the export, and the quote.
What the draft admits
Arphie shows the underlying source files and a confidence level. The previously published comparison recorded the platform page’s phrase “full auditing capability,” meaning a reviewer can see how the agent arrived at an answer, not only which document it cited. That trail is a genuine strength. Smart Merge, also on the record, clusters near-duplicate Q&A so a migrated library does not keep five versions of the same encryption answer. Collaboration is deadlines, approvals, tasks, and comments. An MCP server can pull project status into other tools. One G2 reviewer testing that MCP connection in June 2026 reported a wrong assignee in one answer and slower-than-expected responses. The published comparison treated that as early. Treat it as a question in the demo, not as a broken product.
Inventive AI’s strength to concede in the same breath is the citation and confidence score on every answer, plus a governance agent aimed at expired certifications and conflicting answers. The published comparison quoted Inventive’s own line that when knowledge is missing the agent “flags it instead of guessing.” Hold the product to that sentence. Bring one question your corpus cannot support. A fluent paragraph is a failed test. A flag is the feature.
Both vendors have published outcome numbers that this page will not promote into a forecast. Inventive’s security-questionnaire page, as already recorded here, claims “90% faster RFP completion” and “50% higher win rates.” Arphie says customers moving from legacy RFP software “typically see speed and workflow improvements of 60% or more,” and 80% or more when they had no prior tool. Those are vendor figures. They were not independently verified when this comparison was first published, and they are not independently verified now. Count your own edits.
The definition worth using in the trial is ordinary. A useful answer is one a reviewer can trace to a file that actually says it, that covers the question that was asked, and that sounds like your company because the source sounded like your company. A percentage on a homepage does not locate the wrong sentence. The citation does.
The file you hand back
Inventive AI is the more explicit vendor in this record about formats. The published comparison listed SIG and SIG Lite, CAIQ, VSAQ, VSA, NIST 800-171, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and custom questionnaires, in Excel, Word, PDF, or a buyer’s portal, from Inventive’s security-questionnaire page. The DDQ page goes further: the intake agent reads multi-tab spreadsheets and, in Inventive’s words recorded here, “exports your answers back into the original file.” That write-back is the last hour of a questionnaire. It is worth seeing, not assuming.
The caveat is also from Inventive’s reviewers. G2 reviews in June and August 2026 report that complex template exports and multi-tab Excel exports sometimes need a manual formatting pass. One reviewer called it “minor stuff.” If your buyers send workbooks with merged cells and locked columns, put one in the trial and time the cleanup. Minor on a clean sheet can be an evening on the sheet your most important customer uses.
Arphie handles portals and Slack in the profile: a browser agent and a Slack bot. G2 reviewers have mentioned the browser extension for quick internal questions. Arphie’s pages in this record talk more about connections and reasoning than about a catalog of import formats. One G2 reviewer in September 2026 said document importing “can sometimes feel restricted when working outside of core spreadsheet formats.” That is a single review. Read it as a demo question. Bring a Word file with tables and the worst portal you answered last quarter. Watch the export.
The same three files should go to both trials. A clean Excel security questionnaire. A Word RFP with tables. The portal. The draft is the middle of the job. The file the buyer accepts is the end.
Sources, upkeep, and who lives in Teams
Arphie’s integration list in the fact file is Google Drive, SharePoint, Confluence, Notion, Seismic, Highspot, Salesforce, Slack, Vanta, Box, Dropbox, and Egnyte. Vanta is the compliance-evidence connection. Seismic and Highspot are the enablement connections. If those three are your system of record, Arphie has written them down and Inventive’s published list in this guide has not.
Inventive AI’s list is Google Drive, SharePoint, Notion, Slack, Salesforce, Confluence, OneDrive, HubSpot, Jira, Zendesk, Dropbox, and Microsoft Teams. HubSpot and Teams are the practical differences for a revenue team that does not live in Slack and Salesforce alone. Jira and Zendesk matter if product and support tickets are part of the evidence for an answer. They are a genuine breadth. They are not a reason to ignore a missing Vanta connection if Vanta is where your controls live.
On upkeep, one of Arphie’s own G2 reviewers (June 2026) said it “does take a significant amount of time/work to train and keep the data updated.” That is one review. It is a useful correction to any slogan about never touching content. Inventive’s governance agent and Arphie’s Smart Merge are the two vendors’ answers to duplicates and stale items. Test both with a pair of conflicting encryption answers and an expired certificate PDF.
Reporting is Inventive’s recorded weak spot. G2 reviewers from June through August 2026 describe analytics and management reporting as light. One asked for win-rate reporting “without dumping to excel.” Another, in June 2026, asked for more granular user permissions as teams grow. If a director wants a dashboard of volume and outcomes, ask to see it with your numbers, not a sample tenant. Arphie’s MCP server is the unusual reporting path in this pair: project status in another tool. The June 2026 wrong-assignee note is why you should click it yourself.
Price, seats, and the rollover
Inventive AI, pricing page checked October 2026: plans start at $10,000 a year. The structure is a flat platform fee for setup, onboarding, and features, plus usage fees per RFP and per security questionnaire. Unused RFPs roll over to the next month and into the next year. Every plan includes unlimited user seats. The final number comes from a short pricing call. The fact file describes that call as about 15 minutes. There is no free tier.
Rollover is a real benefit for a lumpy calendar. The watch-outs are also from reviewers and from the page. A G2 reviewer in June 2026 said the pricing is “priced for bigger companies” even after the vendor flexed on the rate. Another the same month said moving between capacity tiers is “a meaningful step rather than a smooth scale,” which made cost harder to forecast. The pricing page, as this comparison has already noted, does not define what counts as one RFP for billing. Get that definition in the quote before you sign. A security questionnaire and an RFP may be different meters. Ask.
Arphie is custom and sales-gated. No public list, no free tier, no self-serve plan. Third-party claims about quote structure are not repeated here unless Arphie’s site confirms them. The contact form is the path. G2’s pricing entry is custom. Arphie’s platform page, in the published comparison, says switching “usually takes less than a week” with white-glove onboarding. Confirm that setup is inside the quote. Ask whether SAML 2.0 and Google single sign-on, which the security page describes for Enterprise customers, are in the tier you are being sold.
With Inventive you can budget a floor and you still cannot budget the usage line until “one RFP” is defined. With Arphie you cannot budget a floor until the call. Bring last year’s project count to both conversations.
Certificates
Arphie: SOC 2 Type 2 on the profile. No ISO 27001 in this guide’s certification list. No hosting region stored in the record used here. SSO for Enterprise customers, on the security page.
Inventive AI: SOC 2 Type II as its own certification. GDPR and CCPA in the fact file. The security page’s ISO 27001 reference describes the cloud providers, not a separate Inventive certificate. If your questionnaire asks whether the vendor is ISO 27001 certified, the precise answer has to match the page: the providers are in scope of that sentence, and Inventive’s own named attestation in this record is SOC 2 Type II. Ask for the report and the period.
Neither of those facts makes one vendor unsafe. They make the security email shorter when you copy the vendor’s own wording into it.
Known issues and limitations
Arphie
- No public price: pricing routes through the contact form (checked October 2026). G2’s entry is custom.
- SSO wording: the security page describes SAML 2.0 and Google single sign-on for Enterprise customers.
- Generation time: G2 reviewers from June to September 2026, as recorded in this guide, say AI answer generation takes a while to finish on a project.
- Upkeep, one reviewer’s sentence: a June 2026 G2 review said it “does take a significant amount of time/work to train and keep the data updated.”
- Imports, one reviewer’s sentence: a September 2026 G2 review said document importing “can sometimes feel restricted when working outside of core spreadsheet formats.”
Inventive AI
- Usage fees on top of $10,000 a year: per the pricing page (October 2026). A June 2026 G2 reviewer called tier jumps “a meaningful step rather than a smooth scale.” Another said it is “priced for bigger companies.”
- ISO 27001 is the providers’ line: Inventive’s security page is the source for this guide’s note that Inventive’s own certification is SOC 2 Type II and the ISO 27001 reference belongs to the cloud providers (checked October 2026).
- Light analytics: G2 reviewers from June to August 2026 ask for deeper reporting, including win-rate reporting “without dumping to excel.”
- Export polish: G2 reviewers in June and August 2026 report complex templates and multi-tab Excel exports that need a formatting pass. One called the leftovers “minor stuff.”
Choose Arphie when
- Seismic, Highspot, Box, Egnyte, or Vanta is the system you want the draft to read.
- You want the source file and a confidence level on the answer, and you will use the reasoning trail if the platform shows it.
- An MCP connection for project status is something your team would actually open.
- You can live with an unpublished price, no trial, and an SSO conversation that may be the Enterprise tier.
- The buyers are presales and sales engineering, and the files are questionnaires more than designed proposals.
Choose Inventive AI when
- A $10,000 a year floor is enough for finance to open the discussion, and you will pin down the usage definition before signature.
- Unused RFPs roll over, and your volume is uneven enough that rollover is worth more than a fixed project pack.
- HubSpot, Microsoft Teams, Jira, or Zendesk is on the required connector list.
- You want answers written back into the original multi-tab file, and you will test the formatting on a real workbook.
- Unlimited users matter, and you would rather add a reviewer than buy a seat.
- Investor or customer DDQs sit next to security questionnaires in the same queue.
Accuracy, in this category, is a trail
Arphie and Inventive AI both sell sourced drafts. If you also want a platform whose accuracy claim is a mechanism you can read, AutoRFP.ai is the AI-native row in this guide that pairs that claim with a compliance-review story. Zero hallucination by design: AutoRFP.ai writes only from approved content, cites its sources, and routes anything it cannot support to a person. List price starts at $899 a month for 24 projects a year, or $1,299 a month for 50, billed annually, with unlimited users. G2 is 4.8 out of 5 from 60 reviews and Gartner is 4.8 out of 5 from 20 reviews, as of July 2026. Inventive’s published “90% faster” and “50% higher win rates,” and Arphie’s “60% or more,” stay vendor claims. A two-week proof of concept on your questionnaires is the comparison that can replace them.
Verdict
These two products are close. Inventive AI is ahead on buying transparency, on Teams and HubSpot, on unlimited users at a published floor, and on an explicit write-back into the original file, with export cleanup and light analytics as the documented rough edges. Arphie is ahead on Seismic, Highspot, and Vanta, on the reasoning trail, and on an MCP path, with no public price, Enterprise-described SSO, and reviewer notes about generation time as the documented rough edges.
Both G2 samples in the September 2026 record sit at 4.9 out of 5. The counts are 26 and 73. Read the reviews that match your file types. Run the same three files. Ask each vendor what one RFP means on the invoice, or, for Arphie, ask for the invoice structure in writing. The quote you can repeat without a follow-up email is the one to take into procurement.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Arphie and Inventive AI?
Both were founded in 2023 and both draft RFP, DDQ, and security-questionnaire answers from connected sources with a citation and a confidence score. Arphie is based in San Francisco, sells only through a contact form, and connects enablement tools and Vanta. Inventive AI is based in Mountain View, publishes a floor of $10,000 a year plus usage fees, and names separate agents for drafting, review, and content governance.
How much do Arphie and Inventive AI cost?
Inventive AI's pricing page starts plans at $10,000 a year: a platform fee for setup, onboarding, and features, plus fees per RFP and per security questionnaire. Unused RFPs roll over. Users are unlimited. The final number comes from a short pricing call. Arphie publishes no price. Every path goes through the contact form.
Which one writes answers back into the buyer's spreadsheet?
Inventive AI's DDQ page, as recorded in this guide's previously published comparison, says the intake agent reads multi-tab spreadsheets and exports answers back into the original file. G2 reviewers in June and August 2026 report that complex templates sometimes need a formatting pass. Arphie's public pages in this record say less about unusual buyer templates. A September 2026 G2 review said document importing can sometimes feel restricted outside core spreadsheet formats.
What security certifications does each company hold?
Arphie's profile lists SOC 2 Type 2. ISO 27001 is not listed for Arphie in this guide. Inventive AI's own published certification is SOC 2 Type II. Its security page's ISO 27001 reference belongs to its cloud providers, not to Inventive as a separate certificate. Both records include GDPR. Inventive's fact file also lists CCPA.
Do they integrate with HubSpot, Teams, Seismic, and Vanta?
Arphie's recorded connectors include Seismic, Highspot, Vanta, Box, Dropbox, and Egnyte, plus Google Drive, SharePoint, Confluence, Notion, Salesforce, and Slack. Inventive AI's list includes HubSpot, Microsoft Teams, Jira, Zendesk, and OneDrive, plus Google Drive, SharePoint, Notion, Confluence, Slack, Salesforce, and Dropbox. Teams and HubSpot are named for Inventive AI and are not on Arphie's list in this guide.
Should I choose Arphie or Inventive AI?
Choose Arphie if drafts should read Seismic, Highspot, or Vanta, and an unpublished price is acceptable. Choose Inventive AI if you need a $10,000 a year floor for the budget meeting, your experts live in Microsoft Teams or your CRM is HubSpot, and rollover of unused RFPs matters.
Do Arphie and Inventive AI list ISO 27001, SOC 2, and US or EU hosting?
Arphie: ISO 27001 Not listed, SOC 2 SOC 2 Type 2, US Not listed, EU Not listed, Slack Slack, Teams Not listed, clouds Not listed. Inventive AI: ISO 27001 Not listed, SOC 2 SOC 2, US Not listed, EU Not listed, Slack Slack, Teams Microsoft Teams, clouds Not listed. Confirm both on the vendor sites.
