Security: ISO 27001, SOC 2, and regional hosting

Put Arphie and Tribble through the same three questions a security reviewer will ask: ISO 27001, SOC 2, and whether you can keep the tenancy in the US or the EU. Cells say Not listed when we could not find the claim on a public vendor page.

During a live questionnaire, SMEs get pinged in Slack or Teams, not in a vendor portal. Here is what Arphie and Tribble publish for those two connections.

Subprocessors: the big three clouds, then the niche names

Compare Arphie and Tribble on AWS, Azure and GCP first. Then scan for niche processors a reviewer should pause on: third-party LLMs, session replay, or support that leaves the region you elected.

Short answer: Pick Arphie if a presales or sales-engineering team wants the first draft pulled from live documents in Google Drive, SharePoint, Confluence, Seismic, Highspot, or Vanta, with the source file and a confidence level on the answer. Pick Tribble if one governed set of sourced answers has to feed RFPs and also the sales floor: Respond is priced per project with every contributor included, and Engage is priced per user per month for answers in Slack, Microsoft Teams, and the web app. Neither company puts a dollar figure on the website. Tribble at least publishes the two meters. Arphie publishes the contact form.

Arphie was founded in 2023, with headquarters in San Francisco, California. The company site, as recorded in this guide’s facts in October 2026, describes a $2.9 million seed round led by General Catalyst. Customers named on the record include Navan, Front, Contentful, Qualys, Recorded Future, Braze, commercetools, and Cyberhaven. The pitch is industry-agnostic presales work: stop retyping answers that already exist in the drives.

Tribble’s own profile in this guide does not state a founding year or a headquarters city. A PitchBook entry collected for the facts file (as of July 2026, medium confidence) lists 2023 and Marina Del Rey, California. Use that as a third-party note, not as Tribble’s about-page copy. A GlobeNewswire release dated 2 May 2024, cited in the same facts file, records that Tribble was added to Salesforce Ventures’ Generative AI Fund in June 2023. Customers named across the profile and the facts file include Salesforce, UiPath, Freshworks, Clari, Sprout Social, Abridge, TaskUs, BrightSign, Rightway, and Snowflake.

This page stays inside those records. Vendor claims about draft accuracy percentages and hours saved are omitted, because neither record attaches a published methodology.

Key takeaways

  • Two products, or one drafting workspace: Tribble sells Respond (questionnaires, per project, contributors included) and Engage (sales answers, per user per month). The Brain knowledge base is included with both. Arphie sells one AI-native workspace for RFPs, DDQs, and security questionnaires, quoted as a whole.
  • What the draft is allowed to read: Arphie emphasizes live connections and says that design cuts library upkeep. Tribble’s profile describes answers tied to approved, evidence-linked knowledge, connecting documents, CRM, and past proposals.
  • A Tribble strength worth granting: Engage, plus Gong, is a real adjacency. Arphie’s record does not describe a sales-call product. If the same answer has to show up while a rep is on a call, that is Tribble’s column.
  • An Arphie strength worth granting: Seismic, Highspot, and Vanta are on its list, with a browser agent for portals and an MCP server. Tribble’s recorded list does not name those three.
  • Reviews: Tribble holds 4.7 out of 5 on G2 from 162 reviews as of July 2026. This guide’s Arphie record does not include a review count, so no Arphie score is printed here.
  • Limitations: both are quote-only, with no free plan. Arphie describes SAML as an Enterprise feature. Tribble’s price factors include SSO, permissions, and which tools you connect.

Same job title, different room in the building

Both profiles sit in the AI-native, RFP-response, and security-questionnaire categories. A buyer who only reads the category tags will think they are substitutes. The day-to-day rooms are different.

Arphie is written for the person who gets the portal link on a Tuesday and has to answer it before the next demo. The best-for line says presales and sales-engineering teams that want drafts pulled from live sources, in place of a hand-kept library. Key features on the profile are first drafts from connected sources, source review and confidence scores, live connections, collaboration with deadlines and approvals, a Slack bot, and a browser agent for portals. The platform evidence adds that the product is built for RFPs alongside DDQs and security questionnaires.

Tribble is written for a governed answer that more than one team is allowed to say out loud. The summary calls it a governed answer layer across sales and proposals, turning approved knowledge into sourced answers that trace back to their evidence. Key features include that shared layer, answers linked to supporting evidence, AI proposal automation, a sales-assistant agent, connections to documents and CRM and past proposals, and a dedicated DDQ workflow for asset managers with compliance review routing. The best-for line is enterprise teams that want AI answers governed by approved, evidence-linked knowledge.

So Arphie’s center of gravity is the questionnaire in front of a sales engineer. Tribble’s center of gravity is the answer itself, reused by whoever is in front of the buyer, including someone who will never open the RFP project. That is a genuine difference in product shape, and it is why a shortlist can honestly contain both.

What you see next to the sentence

Arphie’s source note, from its own site as of July 2026, says the product displays the exact underlying source files and the corresponding confidence levels next to every generated draft. Reviewers are meant to check the file, then accept. The library note says health is managed with automated clustering, duplicate Smart Merge actions, and content health scores. Live connections are the maintenance story: Google Drive, SharePoint, Confluence, and similar sources, so the team is not copying every paragraph into a separate bank first.

Tribble’s strength line is that every answer traces to approved source material, which the profile flags as mattering for regulated pitches. The attribution evidence, citing G2 as of July 2026, says drafts carry source citations and confidence metrics so a reviewer can see which policy or prior document was used. The knowledge-base evidence describes Tribble Brain indexing material and pulling answers from live sources, which is Tribble’s version of “you do not keep a second static database by hand.” Both vendors, in other words, claim they will show their work and that they will read current files. The records do not give you a shared test set, so the demo has to be yours: ten answers, ten source clicks, and a note of which click lands on a sentence that actually supports the draft.

Where the records diverge is what happens around that sentence. Arphie adds a browser agent for the portal and an MCP server so other tools can query the project. Tribble adds Engage, so the sentence can be asked from Slack or Teams by someone who is not assigned to the RFP, and it lists Gong among the connections on the RFP automation page. Meeting and call context is a product Tribble is willing to name. Arphie does not name it in this guide’s record. Grant that to Tribble without turning it into a complaint about Arphie. A portal agent is not a call assistant, and a call assistant is not a portal agent.

DDQs and security questionnaires

Tribble’s DDQ evidence, sourced to its DDQ automation page as of October 2026, is specific. The workflow is for asset managers and institutional investors. It parses XLSX, DOCX, or PDF DDQs, drafts from fund documents and prior DDQs, attaches confidence scores and source links, routes questions to compliance reviewers, and runs a consistency check before export. If your calendar is LP due diligence, that page is the one to hold the vendor to. Ask them to run a prior DDQ you have already filed, and watch the compliance route, not the homepage animation.

Arphie’s DDQ evidence is shorter. The facts file says the product is designed to parse relationship-specific risk inquiries by mapping them against live policy databases. The profile categories include DDQ, and the best-for line stays on presales questionnaires. Investor-style DDQs may still fit, but the record you can cite today is the live-policy mapping, not a named fund-manager workflow with a consistency check. Prefer the vendor whose page describes your file.

On security questionnaires, Arphie’s facts say a native Vanta integration pulls active technical compliance controls, pen tests, and audit evidence. That is a concrete strength for a software company whose SOC 2 lives in Vanta. Tribble’s profile includes security questionnaires and says it connects policy files and evidence into sourced answers. This page does not rank those two designs with a score. Vanta-native evidence is Arphie’s published hook. A shared Brain that also feeds the sales team is Tribble’s.

How the quote is built

There is no winner on sticker price, because there is no sticker.

Arphie Tribble
Public price None. Contact form None. Quoted on a call
Meter the page admits Not published. G2 lists custom plans, and one recorded note mentions concurrent active projects as a quoting basis from a third-party write-up Respond: per project, each questionnaire counts as one project, all contributors included. Engage: per user, per month
Knowledge base Live connections plus library health tools Brain included with both products
Free trial or free plan No No
What else moves the number SAML described as an Enterprise feature SSO, user permissions, and the tools you connect are listed as price factors for both products

The concurrent-projects note on Arphie comes from this guide’s facts file, sourced to a 2026-07 autorfp.ai mention inside the Arphie pricing tiers, with high confidence recorded there. Treat it as a quoting clue from that secondary source. Confirm the meter on the call with Arphie, and keep it out of the budget until then.

Tribble’s own pricing page is clearer about structure and silent about dollars. The recorded line is: “Tell us your numbers and we’ll give you a price on the call.” Respond follows the number of projects a year. Engage follows users per month. A team that only answers questionnaires can price Respond. A team that also wants every account executive to ask the Brain in Slack is buying a second meter. The facts file states that directly: teams wanting both buy two products. SSO and the connectors are not throw-ins in the fine print. They are listed as factors in the price.

Arphie’s silence is total on the public page: no tiers, no trial, sales-gated custom pricing. That can be fine for a single presales org with one budget holder. It is harder when procurement wants to see which line item grows if you add the solutions consultant in another region.

Security paperwork and identity

Arphie lists SOC 2 Type 2. The security page, checked October 2026 in the facts file, describes SAML 2.0 and Google authentication as a feature for Enterprise customers. No ISO 27001 certificate is listed. No hosting region is listed. Ask for the report type you will actually receive, and ask where the tenant runs, before legal redlines the order form.

Tribble’s profile lists SOC 2 Type II. The facts file’s quadrant note says the company states SOC 2 Type II compliance and connects to Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, Google Drive, SharePoint, and Confluence. The profile itself does not publish a hosting-region table, a subprocessor list, or an ISO 27001 line. Same instruction as for Arphie: the certificate name is not the residency answer. Get the region and the subprocessor list in the security packet.

Slack is on both. Microsoft Teams is named on Tribble’s integration list and on Engage’s description (Slack, Teams, and the web app). Arphie’s profile names the Slack bot and does not name Teams. If your subject matter experts refuse to leave Teams, Tribble’s record matches that habit, and Arphie’s record does not show the app.

Stack fit, name by name

Arphie, from the facts file: Google Drive, SharePoint, Confluence, Notion, Seismic, Highspot, Salesforce, Slack, Vanta, Box, Dropbox, Egnyte. Plus the browser agent and MCP server described on the profile.

Tribble, from the facts file and the profile: Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Gong, Google Drive, SharePoint, Confluence, and Box.

Shared names: Salesforce, Slack, Google Drive, SharePoint, Confluence, Box. Arphie’s extra source systems are Notion, Seismic, Highspot, Vanta, Dropbox, and Egnyte. Tribble’s extras are HubSpot, Teams, and Gong. A revenue team standardized on Gong and HubSpot is looking at Tribble’s list. A presales team standardized on Highspot and Vanta is looking at Arphie’s. Neither list, in this guide, includes a claim about being the widest in the category, and this page does not award one.

Known issues and limitations

Arphie

  • No public price or trial: quotes go through the contact form. The facts file records no public price list (checked October 2026).
  • Enterprise SSO wording: the security page describes SAML 2.0 and Google single sign-on as a feature for Enterprise customers (checked October 2026).
  • Time to generate, as reviewers summarized it: facts checked against G2 in October 2026 say reviewers from June to September 2026 report that AI answer generation takes a while to finish on a project.
  • Narrower than a full bid suite: the profile’s own limitation says there is no capture module and no pricing module. If you need those, this comparison is the wrong shortlist.

Tribble

  • No public price, trial, or plan: the pricing page is quoted in the facts file as “Tell us your numbers and we’ll give you a price on the call.”
  • Two meters: Respond per project and Engage per user per month, so both channels means both products. SSO, permissions, and connected tools are price factors, per the same page (checked October 2026).
  • Setup and accuracy, in G2’s own summary: the facts file records that G2’s May 2026 review summary says users experienced issues with initial setup, frequent UI changes and occasional inaccuracies, and some found response time slower than expected (checked October 2026).
  • Plan for a learning period: Tribble’s own profile FAQ says to plan for setup, and that the same G2 summary credits a learning capability for better answers over time. The complaint and the improvement claim travel together because they come from the same recorded summary.

Choose Arphie when

  • The queue is presales and sales engineering, and the current answer lives in a drive, a wiki, Seismic, Highspot, or a public product page.
  • Vanta is where pen tests, controls, and audit evidence already sit.
  • You want a browser agent inside the buyer’s portal and a Slack bot for the people already in that channel.
  • A single custom quote for one workspace is easier to explain than a project meter plus a user meter.
  • You can accept SAML being described as Enterprise, and you will ask for the hosting region in writing.
  • Fund DDQs are occasional, and the live policy source matters more than a named asset-manager workflow.

Choose Tribble when

  • Proposal writers and sellers need the same sourced answer, and Engage in Slack and Teams is part of the purchase.
  • Gong, HubSpot, or both are already the system the revenue team trusts.
  • The workload includes fund DDQs, and you want the published route to compliance review plus a consistency check before export.
  • You want every contributor on a questionnaire included in a per-project price, and you will buy Engage separately if sellers need it.
  • A G2 sample of 162 reviews at 4.7 out of 5, as of July 2026, is the kind of evidence your committee reads.
  • You have time for the setup period Tribble’s own FAQ tells you to plan for, and you will read the May 2026 G2 summary before you sign.

Verdict

Arphie and Tribble both draft with sources showing, both hold a SOC 2 line, and both refuse to print a price. Arphie’s real advantage in the record is the presales source map: enablement tools, Vanta, a portal agent, and a San Francisco product founded in 2023 on a $2.9 million seed. Tribble’s real advantage in the record is the shared answer: Respond for the questionnaire, Engage for the sales floor, Gong on the integration list, a dedicated DDQ path for asset managers, and 162 G2 reviews to read.

Buy Arphie when the questionnaire is the job and the files are already maintained elsewhere. Buy Tribble when the answer has to travel into the call and the DDQ as well as the RFP. Get both quotes in writing against the same project count, the same contributor count, and the same connectors, because the websites will not do that arithmetic for you.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Arphie and Tribble?

Arphie, founded in 2023 in San Francisco, drafts RFPs, DDQs, and security questionnaires from live connections to drives, wikis, enablement tools, and Vanta, and shows the source file plus a confidence level. Tribble is a governed answer layer for sales and proposals: Respond covers RFPs, DDQs, and security questionnaires priced per project with every contributor included, and Engage answers sales questions in Slack and Teams priced per user per month.

Which is cheaper, Arphie or Tribble?

Neither publishes a dollar price as of October 2026. Arphie routes every buyer through a contact form for a custom quote. Tribble's pricing page says, Tell us your numbers and we'll give you a price on the call, with Respond metered by projects and Engage metered by users. You need two written quotes before you can compare totals.

Which is the better fit for fund DDQs?

Tribble publishes a dedicated DDQ workflow for asset managers: it parses XLSX, DOCX, or PDF questionnaires, drafts from fund documents and prior DDQs with confidence scores and source links, routes work to compliance reviewers, and runs a consistency check before export. Arphie's record treats DDQs as in scope alongside RFPs and security questionnaires, with drafts mapped against live policy sources. If the buyer is an LP questionnaire desk, start with Tribble's DDQ page. If the buyer is a presales team, start with Arphie.

Do Arphie and Tribble integrate with Salesforce, Slack, and Gong?

Both list Salesforce and Slack. Tribble also lists HubSpot, Microsoft Teams, Gong, Google Drive, SharePoint, and Confluence. Arphie lists Google Drive, SharePoint, Confluence, Notion, Seismic, Highspot, Vanta, Box, Dropbox, and Egnyte, plus a Slack bot and a browser agent for portals. Gong and Teams are on Tribble's list. Seismic, Highspot, and Vanta are on Arphie's.

Is there a free trial?

No. Arphie's profile records no free tier and no self-serve signup. Tribble's pricing page records no free trial and no free plan. Both quotes arrive on a sales conversation.

Should I choose Arphie or Tribble?

Choose Arphie if presales or sales engineering needs drafts from the drives and from Vanta, and a browser agent for portals matters. Choose Tribble if the same approved answers have to serve proposal writers and the sales floor, including Gong, and if fund DDQs with a compliance route are part of the workload.

Do Arphie and Tribble list ISO 27001, SOC 2, and US or EU hosting?
