AI drafting and accuracy
How does AI RFP software prevent hallucinations?
Short answer
They mostly do it by drafting only from your approved content, showing a confidence level or source, and flagging conflicts for a person. 22 tools document at least one of those guardrails: Arphie, Inventive AI, Tribble, Iris, Whistic, Conveyor and 16 more. Treat any vendor claim of zero errors as marketing: the guardrail that matters is the one that routes an unsupported answer to a reviewer instead of filling the gap.

Why this question matters
A hallucinated RFP answer is a confident sentence your company never approved, such as a certification you do not hold or an SLA you never offered. The tools reduce the risk in three ways: they restrict drafting to content you supply, they expose how well the draft is supported, and they hand anything weak to a person. None of these remove the need for review.
Which one fits your situation
- If you want a per-answer confidence score, start with Arphie, Inventive AI and Tribble.
- If you want every draft linked to its source, start with Arphie, Inventive AI and Tribble.
What to test in a trial
- Ask about a certification you do not hold and see whether the tool invents one.
- Load two documents that disagree on a number and check which answer appears and whether the conflict is flagged.
- Compare low-confidence answers with what a reviewer would have rejected anyway.
Caveats
- Some evidence on this page is the vendor’s own description of its guardrails; the source column shows which.
- “Hallucination-free” is a claim, not a measurement. Your own test set is the only number that matters.
How we decided who qualifies
Only RFP, DDQ and questionnaire response tools with a published profile are checked. A tool is named here only when its record shows the rule above, either in a sourced research fact or in the reviewed profile, and we publish an answer only when at least three tools qualify. A tool missing from the table may still do this; it has not been documented in a way we could source. Read the research methodology for how facts are dated and corrected.
More questions on this topic
Can AI RFP software guarantee accurate answers?
No. It can restrict what the model draws on and make weak answers visible. Accuracy still depends on your sources and reviewers.
What is a confidence score in RFP software?
A signal of how well the draft is supported by your content. Use it to decide which answers a person must check first.
Is retrieval-augmented generation enough on its own?
Grounding helps a lot, but a model can still misread a source. Citations and review catch what grounding misses.
